  12. We usually have a family gathering on Good Friday but last year's took place on Zoom and I think this year's is likely to be virtual too. I prefer Easter to Christmas as it's cheaper and less stressful and I get to enjoy some much-needed rest and relaxation over the bank holiday!

  13. we always have an Easter event at our National Trust place - usually with kids crafts, egg hunt, bonnet competition and duck race down the stream. It's great fun and I hope we can do it socially distanced this year again.

  14. We don't usually do much except have an extra special Sunday roast dinner. Especially if we've saved half of the turkey crown from Christmas!

  17. At Easter we usually love to go and stay in a hotel, go and visit family and friends and enjoy a day or two out visiting attractions and shopping! Won't be doing that this year, will probably have a lounge sleepover with snacks and Netflix instead.

  34. I always do an Easter egg hunt with cryptic clues for my little girl to solve. We have a lovely roast dinner with all the trimmings and chocolate for dessert, then go for a long family walk.

  37. We normally head to church for Easter service and see the little ones going on a Easter hunt but now I have a 2 year old niece we are beyond excited to host an Easter egg hunt at home xx

  42. I decorate my Magnolia tree with eggs, then decorate front garden. The primary school come round to have a look at it. The elderly neighbours love it, brings a smile to everyone face.

  81. We usually have our family annual Easter Bonnet decorating contest for all the family - getting the craft box out and trying to make the most beautiful hat of all!You wouldnt believe how competitive the adults get haha. Afterwards we show them off in a mini parade.

  108. In normal times I start the day with hot cross buns for breakfast, I'm quite strange as I like cheese on my bun. Then we'd have the family over for Easter lunch and exchange eggs. Then when they've gone home I tuck in to my easter egg.

We love to paint boiled eggs and put a photo on Facebook for all our friends to vote, I might add I've never won lol, my art/craft skills are rubbish, however I do love the family activity and we have lots of fun checking as the votes come in, it gets very competitive - think Eurovision Song Contest with a twist haha.
