2021 - Things Can Only Get Better, Surely?
Last night we happily said 'Goodbye' to 2020 as the Big Ben bells rang us in to 2021.
2020 has been a tough year for all of us, but we've made it trough to the other side.
2020 was the year we didn't get to go on holiday or even see the nearest sea like we would do. We didn't get to party with our extended family for our Birthdays or get to Dance at our own Wedding, which was cancelled, rearranged and scaled down to just 15 guests.
2020 saw us work from home or be placed on 'Furlough' which we never dreamed possible. Schools closed and our children were homeschooled as best as we could. That was tough.
2020 saw our family cat of 14 years 'Garfield' laid to rest, we miss him so much.
2020 also brought us a little joy in the form of a new life. My daughter gave birth to her beautiful son, my gorgeous grandson, making me a Nanny, making me very blessed. He was the light at the end of our tunnel. The joy in our darkness and the love that fills my heart.
2020 - I happily wave GOODBYE to YOU. And I can honestly say that I hope we never have another year quite like you. I know 2021 is going to be tough but hopefully things will get better and by Summer we will be able to live our lives as close to 'normal' again. I miss seeing my friends, I miss dancing and singing. I miss being able to see my family whenever I want too and I miss being able to sit in a restaurant with my family, to enjoy a simple meal.
2021 may start off slow but things can only get better, surely?
