Week 1 of our Covid 19 Diaries - How We're Doing.

Week 1 of our Covid 19 Diaries - How We're Doing.

So, a lot has changed here in a week but I'm guessing it's pretty much the same for everyone. Last week I was working away as normal in my retail shop listening to the news of what was happening all around the world. News of the Covid 19 Virus was spreading fast and we were all starting to get very worried. Within days of the news we were reading, my children's schools were closed down and shortly after that, just one day, so was my place of work. When I went to into work on Friday morning, I had no idea that would be the last shift I'd be working for a while. It's all quite sad really but I completely understand why it has to be so and now that the Government are helping us and paying 80% of our wages, I can relax a little and not worry so much about all the bills and other money matters in my life.

Over the weekend, I spent a lot of time talking to my children and helping them to understand what was going on and what was going to happen from now on. They were happy to know that I was going to be staying at home with them so that was a huge relief. I'm no teacher but I am going to help them do a little bit of work each day. There won't be no fancy routines or major schooling plans to stick to here, I don't work well like that at all.

We're going for a more relaxed timetable of work, play, eat and relax. It's going to be a tough few months so I don't want to put too much pressure on them or myself for that fact. I can see so many of my friends sharing pictures of the work their kids are doing at home which tends to make me feel a little uneasy but I won't be trying to compete with any one. Our lives are ours and we'll be doing things our way. We don't need to do what you're all doing.

By Sunday, I had settled down and was actually starting to look forward to spending some time with my children over the next few weeks until Daddy got a phone call to say that someone he's been working with at his workplace has just been diagnosed with the Covid 19 Virus. I was a mess,I had gone right back to square one all in a single moment of time.

Daddy is well at the moment and is still going to work as he's not showing any signs or symptoms of the Virus himself but I am very worried. He's not been in direct contact with the person but he has worked in the same building and he has had direct contact with others who've been in direct contact with him so life's a little worrying for all of us right now.

We're going to continue to monitor Daddy's temperature and keep any eye on him but for now we're all keeping our distance as much as we can, and staying indoors, just incase.

Today is the first Day of our homeschooling journey and all is well so far. The kids have got up and started some work whilst I've been completing some tasks on the laptop. They're having regular breaks and will be going outside in the garden real soon to get some fresh air and exercise - also known as their PE lesson. It's not going to be easy over the next few weeks so our main thing is fun, we're going to try and have lots of fun together whilst we can. Life can get stressful if you let it so we're not going to let that happen to us here.

For now, we are all well and enjoying our time at home together. That might chance in the near future so I'm going to try and keep everyone updated once a week if I can.

Stay Safe and Stay well

Choosing the Final Touches to my Wedding Cake with norma&dorothy #Review

Choosing the Final Touches to my
Wedding Cake  with norma&dorothy.

Who are they? norma&dorothy love to make handcrafted wedding stationery.

Founded by Grace Sherriff in 2013, in just a few short years their wedding stationery company has grown from humble beginnings to a respected and thriving business, with a dedicated team of staff and happy customers all across the globe and they're not stopping there. They spend each day designing pretty things and handcrafting beautiful wedding stationery for their customers. There’s also the occasional break for tea and cake!

Recently I've been thinking about what I wanted to put on the top of my Wedding cake so when I heard about norma&dorothy, I just had to take a look at what they had for me. I'm having quite a simply cake so I wanted something simple, yet pretty, to place on the top.

norma&dorothy have so many beautiful Wedding Cake Toppers to choose from that even I struggled to choose just one. Luckily for me, I didn't have to, just yet as they let me choose two so that I could make my all important choice later on. It's going to be a tough choice.

I chose a personalised topper and a more simple one too.

My Personalised choice is their beautiful Gold Mirror Wedding Cake Topper which has been personalised with our marriage name and our wedding date. It's so pretty, I love it. Cake It's made from a 3mm acrylic mirror and measures 12.7cm at the widest point and the stem is approximately 13 cm long. This cake topper costs £24 which is one of the more expensive ones on the ste but it's definitely my favourite and well worth every penny of that money.

My second choice was their Forever Mirror Wedding Cake Topper which is my simple choice. The word 'forever' is engraved along with an intricate botanical design, onto their acrylic mirror base, creating a luxury wedding cake topper perfect for any wedding. This Wedding cake topper measures 12.7cm at its widest point and the stem is approximately 13 cm long and again is made from a 3mm acrylic mirror. It may be simple but it's lovely.

This Topper will also cost you £24  which again isn't a great deal of money to pay for something so beautifully crafted. It's such a tough choice but at the moment I think I'm going to go with the personalised one but who knows what could happen, I may change my mind.

Both Cake Toppers are absolutely beautiful and I'm so thankful to the lovely norma&dorothy for helping me with my recent quest for what to put on the top of my wedding cake.

If you're currently planning your wedding and looking for what to put on the top of your wedding cake? Then why not take a little look at norma&dorothy, you won't be disappointed,

Disclosure: I received my Cake Toppers for free in return for an honest review.

Treasure X Aliens Eggs #Review

Treasure X Aliens Eggs

Treasure X Aliens Eggs from Character Toys have landed and they are about to hatch just in time for Easter. If you're looking for an exciting Easter Egg this Easter that's not made of chocolate and has way more play appeal for your children, then look no further than here.

Simply break open the hard outer shell to discover a squishy alien egg inside. Then squeeze the egg really hard to hatch and watch it explode. Ryan found it quite tough to do but that added to the attraction, I think. No one wants something that's too easy and boring, do they? Inside the egg, covered in alien ooze is a collectable mini alien. Who will you find?

Once you have your new alien friend, you then to to search through the ooze to discover your alien treasure. Will you find a real gem treasure inside? We didn't sadly find a real gem inside our eggs but that's OK as we still love the ones we did find. These strange little aliens love sucking up their ooze through their mouth and nose which is quite fun to watch.  You squeeze the sides of your alien and watch them slurp it up and then spit it out again. It's fun!

Costing £4.99 each, these Treasure X Alien Eggs make great Easter Egg Alternatives and could also be really great as part of an egg hunt!  With 12 different Aliens to collect, you'll want to find them all. We found Suckator, Soogle Slug and Dripgrip from the Glitch Biters.

The Treasure X Alien Eggs are now available in Smyths Toys Superstores. Each Egg Includes 1x Outer Egg Vessel, 1x Alien Egg, 1x Alien Character, 1x Alien Treasure 1x Ooze and 1x Collector Guide/Instruction Manual. You get quite a lot for your £4.99 which is great.

Ryan loved helping his Treasure X Alien Eggs explode to find his hidden alien friends. He loves slime anyway so this ooze filled egg was the perfect toy for him. He's now got a little alien friend who sucks in and spits out pretty purple ooze all day long and he loves him.

If you want to find out more about them and also grab the chance to win some prizes too, head on over to to where there are chances to win prizes and more!

Disclosure: We received our Treasure X Alien Eggs for free in return for an honest review.

Another Year Older and Wiser. . Turning 38.

Another Year Older and Wiser. . Turning 38.

Last weekend was my birthday where I turned 38. 38! I have no idea how I got to be this age. It only seems like yesterday that I turned 20, then 30, and now 38. Time sure flies by quickly as you get older but I've come to realise that age really is just a number. It doesn't mean much more than that to me. I remember when  turned 30, I got so upset and cried.

Turning 38 hasn't bothered me at all this year, I quite like the number 38 for some reason.

38 is the age I'll always remember as the year I finally got married so it'll always be a good number to me. After waiting so long, it's going to be a celebration to remember for my family.

Even though I am 38, I don't feel like I am and I don't think I look like I am either. I often get asked how old I am at work and find most reactions are ones of shock as they don't believe me. Most people I meet assume I'm in my 20's and talk to me like I'm still a child.

38 is the age when I;m going to do more things for me. It's the age I'll stop sitting back and coasting through my life, watching everyone else move onwards and getting left behind. At work I'm currently training to become a Manager which is a really big step for me. It means working more hours and more responsibility but also more money and more flexibility too.

It's an exciting time for me at work right now, I'm finally moving on up in the world.

2020 is going to be a good year for us here at Mummy Of 3 Diaries.

We're moving forward with our lives so things can only get better from here onwards.

This is ME at 38 on my 38th Birthday last weekend.

I don't often post pictures of myself, maybe being 38 is my year of confidence to do so.
