Play Time with So Slime - So Slime DIY - Slimelicious Sweet Shop and So Slime Glam DIY 3 Pack #Review

Play Time with So Slime - So Slime DIY - Slimelicious Sweet Shop and So Slime Glam DIY 3 Pack.

Today we made time for a little family play time which we dedicated to Slime Time.

It's always good to step away from the TV, iPads and Phones to make a little time for some good old fashioned family fun. This afternoon, that's exactly what we decided to do.

Both my children absolutely LOVE Slime! Me on the other hand, I'm not such a fan. Slime is always messy and sticky and gooey and ergh but It's all those things that I hate about Slime that make my children love it so much. It's such a fun way to get messy, they tell me. Today, I put my mess fears aside and joined in some Slime making fun with the two of them after school. We were sent two different packs to play with so we had lots of Slime to make.

The first one is the So Slime Glam DIY 3 Pack – Parfum collection.

Dial up the glamour with So Slime Glam 3 Pack which contains stunning shakers which when combined with scent, powder and decorations create something unique for slime fans.

Each 3 pack includes: 3 Shakers

3 Scented Slime powders

3 Bags of decoration

Lily and Ryan loved this set as the pots are nice and big meaning you get to make bigger portions of Slime. The Slime is really easy to make, you have everything you need in the set and then all you need to add is a little water. My first attempt didn't turn out too well as I added a bit too much water (silly me) but the other two turned out much better and were actually quite fun to make. One thing you notice is the smell, they all smell so good.

With this set, you get three of everything so you can only make each Slime once but for the price of £9.99, it's still a very nice little set that both my kids enjoyed playing with today.

The second one is the So Slime DIY - Slimelicious Sweet Shop.

You can make your dreams come true and create your own mini Slimelicious sweet shop.

These gorgeous little candy creations are simple with their easy no mess slime kits and you can even add your own personal touches to every scented slime you make with the delightful decorations and cute charms that all come included inside the box. Included is:

1 Sweet Shop
2 x mini shakers
6 x scented slimes
3 x decoration bags
2 x charms

This set costs £7.99 and has two mini shakers but six bags of powdered Slime included which means that you get to make six lots of Slime using the one set so you get a lot for your money. The shakers are much smaller than the other set but we found that to be a good thing as they set much quicker being smaller in size. Agan they smelt so good but please don't be tempted to eat them as Slime s not edible, not matter how good it smells.

We've had lots of fun today playing with our Canal Toys So Slime toys. It's been nice to spend some time with the children doing something that they absolutely love doing. Both sets have been great fun but each child had a different favourite. Lily loved the Glam set mors as the pots were just so cute and are going to look great on her bedroom side. Whereas Ryan loved the Sweet shop set better because there was more Slime to be made.

There's so many different So Slime sets available from Canal Toys, we want them all.

Disclosure: We received our So Slime sets for free in return for an honest review.

Eating Out - The Queslett Pub, Sutton Coldfield #Review

Eating Out - The Queslett Pub, Sutton Coldfield

It's been a few weeks since we last ate out as a family so it was a lovely treat on Sunday to head to newly refurbished The Queslett in Sutton Coldfield for our Sunday Dinner. It serves up authentic British cooking and real ales in a genuine local pub warmed by a cosy fire. We'd not been to The Queslett before so we're excited to see what it was like. The Pub looks very modern and spacious, inside and out and has a great feel of 'friendliness and warmth' inside. Our little table for four in the corner was the perfect setting to enjoy a peaceful family Sunday meal. Even though the Pub was quite busy during our visit which was nice to see, we were still able to relax and enjoy our meal and family time out together.

The Menu has a wide variety of dishes on it so there's plenty of delicious food to choose from. We decided to treat ourselves to Starters, Garlic Bread for the kids, Salt and Pepper Calamari for Daddy and the Duck Live and Post parfait for me. Everything looked great and tasted just as good as it looked. Everything was beautifully presented and seasoned well.

You can't beat a nice slice of Garlic Bread Ciabatta.

For our Mains we enjoyed a kids Chicken Nuggets and Chips for Ryan, an Adults Classic Beef Burger for Lily and a  Classic Chicken Burger with BBQ sauce for Mummy and a Mixed Grill with an Upgraded to 8 oz Steak with a Peppercorn Sauce on the side for Daddy.

Everything was cooked lovely and tasted great. The portion sizes were quite big so everyone had enough to eat. Again, everything was presented nicely and came out nice and hot. We had no problems with our meals and enjoyed tucking into them whilst we chatted.

You might think the plate looks a little empty but that's because the plates were really big and I asked for no side salad which is normally included with the meals. The Chicken Burger was so good and that bun, that bun was the yummiest, softest bun, I've had in a while.

Daddies Mixed Grill looked and tasted great. He was super happy with his meal and finished the whole lot. It was nice to see good sized pieces of meat that were all cooked perfectly.

We had such a lovely visit to The Queslett on Sunday and really enjoyed our food. The staff were super friendly to everyone in the Pub, you really got the vibe of a good local Pub. The real wood fire was so lovely too. It kept us all super cosy and warm whilst Storm Dennis raged around us outside. It may have been windy and wet outside but it was lovely inside.

We would definitely recommend The Questlett to our friends and family as a nice place to go and eat. The meals cost a little more than we're used too but the standard of them was very high. Our four starters, and four Mains, plus a drink each cost us £59.00 in total.

So if you're looking for somewhere to relax and eat with your family in and around Sutton Coldfield or Birmingham, The Queslett could be an ideal choice for you to try out.

I may have enjoyed a cheeky glass of wine whilst we were out. *Cheers*

The Queslett is an Ember Inns Pub so you can find one wherever you live in the UK.

Bouncing Good Fun at Rush UK Trampoline Park Birmingham #Review

Bouncing Good Fun at Rush UK
Trampoline Park Birmingham

This weekend has been a blast. It's been a while since we had some good old fashioned family fun so we decided to dedicate our Saturday Morning to doing just that. We headed over to Kings Norton to Rush UK, a fantastic trampoline park based here in Birmingham.

Everyone was very excited and really looking forward to having some fun together. We arrived at Rush Birmingham at 11:45 am, a good 15 minutes before our booked time slot of Midday so that we could get checked in, sign our Waiver, watch the Safety Video and get kitted out in our rather funky  ultra cools neon socks. Aren't they so pretty? I loved them.

Our pre booked, 60 Minutes Open Jump tickets cost £11.50 each which is pretty good for the hour of fun we enjoyed. Inside, facilities include a Main Court full of trampolines to bounce on as well a 2 Tumble Lanes for you to tumble along which looked like lots of fun.

There's a Dodgeball court which Daddy and Ryan had a quick blast in but Daddy, being the only 'grown up' in the court found himself the target of all the little children. He took it all in good spirits and I found it quite amusing. There's a Basketball hoop to have a go at too, Ryan loved it and had several goes trying to get a Slam Dunk with his basketball shots.

There's a Rush Wipeout zone and an Assault Course which everyone loved having a go at. I sat that one out as I'm just no good at things like that ( I'm sorry) The Assault Course is set up like a mini Ninja Warrior course so that was very exciting. It looked quite hard but they all gave it a good go and made it successfully to the end in one piece. It got very competitive.

There's so many different areas to enjoy inside the Rush UK arena. There's several foam pits that you can jump into from different levels. One even has a Trapeze swing to help you on your way. The kids loved the foam pits, they were huge. I on the other hand, struggled to get out of the foam pits. On one occasion I sank to the bottom and lost a sock which they all found very funny. You'll be glad to hear that all was not lost though as I found my sock.

There was also a Battle Beam which we all had a go at. It's like an old Gladiators game where you have to knock your opponent off the balance beam using giant padded poles. Daddy and Lily had several games of this as she was determined to beat him ( she didn't).

Ryan and Lily had a few games but it was getting a little rough between them so I stepped in to verse Lily for a final round. Lily came running at me but managed to lose her balance so I won due to her falling off the beam. I was a good Mummy and didn't even touch her.

Rush UK Birmingham was fantastic fun. We all had a wonderful hour of fun inside and would happily go back again. Not only did we enjoy an hour of fun but we also got a great work out. Who needs a gym session when you can have a bounce session. It was ace.

If you're looking for a fun day out this Half Term - You can Get Your Rush On at one of the two UK Trampoline Parks. There's one in Birmingham and another in High Wycombe.

Disclosure: We received complimentary access to Rush UK Birmingham in return for a honest review. All onions expressed are 100% my own and completely honest.
