Looking for Gift Ideas for Mother's Day?
Check Out My Gift Guide for Ideas.

Mother's Day is one of my favourite days of the year but that's not because I look forward to being showered with extravagant gifts. It's just a lovely, family day where my children make homemade cards and fill them with lovely sentimental notes about why they love me which is always very special. It's one day a year for all us Mums to hold out kiddies a little tighter.

If you'd like to buy your Mum a little gift though, that's all good. I still buy my Mum a gift every year. I tend to go with a gift of pretty flowers or a bottle of nice wine and chocs. If you'd like some gift ideas, I've put together a little gift guide below to help you out.

For a traditional gift how about flowers like these pretty Roses from Blossoming Gifts.

They've got some lovely Mother's Day bouquets including some that are Rainbow coloured.

For the chocolate lovers, how about Guylian’s best sellers, Sea Shells Original PralinĂ©. Reasonably prices at around £11.99 they're a really nice treat for the Mum in your life.

They're elegantly crafted little Seashell chocolates that are filled with their original hazelnut pralinĂ© filling, they taste delicious and look really expensive which is always a good thing.

For a more practical kind of gift, how about a Nanu Pillow which is your perfect pillow designed by you and made by Nanu. I really loved this one as I'm a proper sleep lover. It's such a lovely idea where you answer some questions online to help design your perfect pillow to get the best night's sleep which is always something us Mum's need. They cost £35 but are currently offer of Buy one get one Free, which is a really good deal, I think.

For another practical gift, how about some Vitage Revive & Repair Hand Cream which is an indulgent, high performance hand cream that helps to revive and restore the skin's moisture barrier leaving hands feeling smoother, brighter and deeply moisturised. Costing around £24.00, it's a nice little treat for a busy Mum who's always on the go and needs a little treat. It's a good sized tube that works really well, you can't beat nice soft hands.

Last but not least I have a quirky little gift idea that could be just what you're looking for.

These cute little BPA and EA free bottles from SIGG are perfect for your carrying your coffee, teas or cold drinks out with you, wherever you go. They’ve just launched a new ‘Mum Plus One’ range like the one shown below, in a variety of stylish colours and styles. A single bottle would cost you around £15.99 but there are also twin packs available for £30.

It's a really cute little bottle perfect for busy Mum's always on the go. Mine contains water or fruit juice mostly but I'm sure when the weather goes cold again, I'll be filling it with Tea.

So, there we have it, my little Mother's Day Gift Guide. I hope it gave you some inspiration to help you find the perfect gift for your Mum this Mother's Day.

Disclosure: I received press samples in return for inclusion in my Gift Guide.

Pretty Pixels Eraser Maker - Deluxe Pack Assortment #Review

Pretty Pixels Eraser Maker
Deluxe Pack Assortment Review

New for 2019, children can now make their own beautifully designed erasers from pixel templates, using Bandai’s Pretty Pixels Eraser Maker. Whether you follow the templates or decide you’d like to design your own unique erasers, Pretty Pixels are set to bring you hours of fun. Using a microwave heat instead of an iron, makes the possibilities endless. Styles include Fashion, Sweets, Fairy, Cool, Animals & Fruits. The sets are aimed at children aged 8 and over as the small pieces are a little fiddly but it's great fun, once you get going.

This Deluxe Pack will cost you £24.99 but there are smaller sets available too. There's a  Starter Pack for £16.99 and a Mini Pack for £9.99, so there's a set suitable for all budgets.

We've been having great fun making erasers this week, it's been great for keeping the kids entertained this Half Term. It's a great set for keeping little hands busy and kids happy.

I thought it would be fun to give you a step by step guide to how to make them.

You get everything you need inside the box to get started right away.

The hardest part was picking which design card to use, of course we went for the Unicorn first. There were so many to choose from but as Unicorn lovers, it had to be the one for us.

Once you've picked your design, you then break up the pieces you'll need. There's a little colour coded guide in the corner of your design which tells you how many of each coloured pieces you'll need. It's all nice and simple and once this bits done, you're ready to go.

You get a small pair of tweezers to help you but we found it easier to use our hands. It's a little bit fiddly but we soon got the hang of it and once we did, it was actually really fun.

Just look at how cute our Unicorn eraser is. She looked a little funny when she was still in the mould but that's OK as she looked pretty perfect once we'd done the next few steps to finish her off. Once you've finished your design, you add half a teaspoon of water on top of it and then close it shut until you hear a clicking sound, then you know it's all shut securely.

Once shut tight, you pop it into the microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds and then drop it into a pot or tub of cold water for a further 10 minutes to let it all cool down properly. Once the 10 minutes is over, you can open it up and see your brand new eraser, it's awesome.

We were really impressed with our cute little Unicorn eraser. We couldn't believe how easy it was to actually make and now that she's done, we can't wait to make loads more.

The Pretty Pixels Eraser Maker from Bandai is great fun and there's enough pieces in it to make lots of cool erasers which is fab. It's a lovely set sure to keep the kids happy.

Disclosure: We received a Sample in return for an honest Review.

Ryan sure felt like The Kid Who Would Be King this weekend - Excalibur Pinata Fun!

Ryan sure felt like the Kid Who Would Be King this weekend - Excalibur Pinata Fun!

Ryan sure felt like The Kid Who Would Be King this weekend as we were invited to join the fun to celebrate the The Kid Who Would Be Kings UK Cinema Release with 20th Century Fox. We were gifted an awesome box of film related goodies containing a huge Excalibur Sword shaped Pinata. The kids were so excited to get going so we hooked it up in the garden and set them loose to take it in turns to give it a real good whacking. After a few turns each, they finally broke into it to release the treasure of yummy chocolate gold coins.

The kids had so much fun, just look at those smiley faces. We had their cousin around this weekend so it was nice for them be able to share the fun with another rather than just with each other. The girls were mesmerized by all the pretty confetti and the delicious chocolate gold coins that they found inside. I had three very happy little kiddies indeed.

The Kid Who Would Be King is a tale of old school magic meeting the modern world. It's a fun filled story of a young boy named Alex stumbling across the mythical Sword in the Stone, Excalibur. He has to unite his friends and enemies to become a band of knights and with the help of the legendary Wizard Merlin, save all of mankind. It sounds awesome!

It's on our list of movies to go see this Half Term. Ryan can't wait to see it now he's heard all about it. The Kid Who Would Be King is now showing in the cinemas across the UK.

Disclosure: We were gifted a box of Movie Themed Goodies with no expectations.

Just in Time for Half Term Fun. Smallfoot arrives on Bluray, 3D Blu-ray and DVD Today (18th February)

Just in Time for Half Term Fun. Smallfoot arrives on Bluray, 3D Blu-ray and DVD Today (18th February).

Today marks the first day of Half Term here for us and also the release of Small Foot on Bluray, 3D Blu-ray and DVD. To celebrate it's release we've been gifted a selection of Small Foot Goodies to help us enjoy the movie today and to make this half-term extra special we've been sent the Smallfoot Blu-ray which includes an interactive sing-a-long version, giving us the opportunity to learn the words and sing along to our favourite songs from the film. The movie stars a whole host of amazing actors and actresses, Channing Tatum is the yeti, Migo, and James Corden are the Smallfoot, Percy. The movie also casts, Zendaya,  LeBron James, Danny DeVito, Gina Rodriguez, Yara Shahidi and Ely Henry. Smallfoot was directed by the lovely Karey Kirkpatrick, Annie Award-winning director of Over the Hedge and Annie nominee for the Chicken Run and James and the Giant Peach screenplays.

Our box of goodies included the Smallfoot Blu-ray, lots of fun quiz sheets and puzzles. A bag, slippers, t-shirt and jacket (for me) and a selection of fun Yeti styled hats which the kids were so excited about. We have our little cousin over this week so she got to join in two which was lovely. It's not often the three of them get to do something like this all together.

Also in our box were some Cake Pops in the characters from the Movie. I think the kids loved these best of all as they looked amazing and tasted even better, if I do say so myself.

Today might be the day the Movie is released on  Bluray, 3D Blu-ray and DVD but it's not the first time we've seen it. It's a great animated adventure suitable for all ages and definitely one to watch this Half Term if you're looking for a fun family film. “Smallfoot” turns the Bigfoot legend upside down when a bright young Yeti finds something he thought didn’t exist—a human! News of the “smallfoot”, throws the simple Yeti community into an uproar over what else might be out there in the big world beyond their snowy village. Smallfoot is an epic story about friendship and courage! It's a really lovely film.

Disclosure: We were send our box of Smallfoot Goodies as a gift under no obligation to share. I've shared the contents of it and information about the film as I thought you'd like it.
