Fashion Dolls just got Bigger and Better! Check out our review of the Nancy Fashion Dolls.

Fashion Dolls just got Bigger and Better!
Check out our review of the Nancy Fashion Dolls.

A few weeks back Lily made some new friends when two gorgeous Nancy Fashion Dolls from Bandai moved in. We had the pleasure of meeting the Blonde Nancy Hair Braids Doll and her friend Nancy World Traveller Doll and Pet from Brazil. Both dolls are very pretty and a whopping 42cm tall. Hair Braids Nancy comes with a cute hair braid tool and lots of cute hair accessories for doing hair whilst the World Traveller Nancy comes with her bags, travel case, other travel accessories and her pet dog. Both Nancy dolls are different but lovely.

Lily was so excited when they arrived, she couldn't wait to get them out of their boxes. Luckily they were nice and easy to get out, they weren't tied in too tight like some often are. Once out of their boxes, Lily and the girls were all set to start their fun and adventures.

The Nancy World Traveller Doll and Pet from Brazil comes all set for her world adventures. Nancy travels everywhere with her pet dog which comes with it's very own pull-along pet carrier, passport and stickers!

She has lovely long dark hair which has already been braided in some parts but don't worry as there's loads left for you to do.

In her pretty puffed out skirt and pretty parrot top, she's all set to go. Her wellies are not only a style statement but very practical for all this rainy weather we've been having lately.

The Nancy Hair Braids Doll loves to have her hair styled by you! She's got lovely long blonde hair just waiting to be styled.

You can style her hair with the braider and decorate it with the included ribbons.
She's dressed in a cute colourful outfit made up of a purple polka dot mini shirt and flower print orange t shirt. We loved the way her shoes matched her t shirt, colour wise.

Lily's been doing her hair a lot lately which is great as that's what this doll is all about. She's got great hair just perfect for styling and she's pretty too.

Both Nancy dolls are naturally pretty. There's no over the top make up, just natural beauty, which is one of the things I love.

Lily and her new friends have been on lots of adventures and I'm sure there's still more to come. They've played in the garden together, taken car rides together and even shared sweets together. Lily really loves her new dolls, they're quite big compared to other fashion dolls but that's what she likes about them. Being bigger makes them more real, more life like and more fun. There's no fiddling about trying to change clothes as being bigger makes everything easier. Both the dolls have beautiful hair which Lily loves to style and change.

There are lots of beautiful dolls in the new Nancy Fashion Dolls range to choose from. Lily is already asking for another one but I think she may have to wait a little while before she gets it as her birthday has already past and Christmas is still quite a while away, thankfully.

The Nancy dolls have been a huge success here as both got a firm thumbs up from Lily.  Lily's been playing with both dolls for over 4 weeks now and I'm happy to report that both dolls are still fully in tact, no one has lost any limbs and all their hair is firmly in place which is great news. The Nancy Fashion Dolls are tough yet pretty, really made to last.

Disclosure: We received our Nancy Dolls as samples for the purpose of this review. All the opinions expressed within it our 100% honest and entirely our own.

Birmingham's Parents' shopping habits revealed by Amazon Prime Now, Mine included!

Birmingham's Parents' shopping habits revealed by Amazon Prime Now, Mine included!

According to figures released today by Amazon, 11am on a Wednesday morning is the most common time for parents of babies in the Birmingham area to run out of essential items.

Local shoppers are most likely to place last minute orders for baby essentials like nappies, baby food and wipes on a Wednesday morning at 11am, with deliveries being made using Amazon’s ultra-fast Prime Now service. The figures, which look at the last minute shopping habits of customers in the Birmingham area, show the top five most popular baby products ordered by Birmingham customers on Prime Now are as follows:
  1. Baby wipes
  2. Baby vegetable lasagne
  3. Nappies
  4. Baby powder
  5. Baby shepherds’ pie
The most popular item ordered by customers in the city of Birmingham is Pampers Baby Wipes which isn't surprising as I use baby wipes for pretty much everything and anything.

As well as stocking up on infant essentials, parents in Birmingham are taking advantage of Amazon Prime Now’s speedy delivery windows to treat themselves too. Shoppers are treating themselves to lots of grocery products including Terry’s Chocolate Orange, Coca Cola and Kingsmill Soft White Medium Sliced Bread to accompany their deliveries.

Amazon Prime Now launched in Birmingham in summer 2015 and offers one-hour delivery on thousands of items including daily essentials such as coffee, batteries and nappies, as well as other popular items like games consoles, toys and sports equipment - all via the simple and easy to use mobile app. Prime members can choose delivery within one hour for a cost of £6.99, or you can get free delivery within a choice of two-hour, same-day delivery slots between 8am and midnight, seven days a week. It's a very handy service to use.

We love Amazon here for finding bargains and speedy shopping of course and have used Amazon Prime for it's music and movies services too, so when we heard about the new Amazon Prime Now app, we just had to check it out for ourselves. The idea of getting everything we needed, delivered straight to our door within an hour or two to four hours depending on weather or not I want to pay for delivery is pretty awesome. I've never really need an excuse to shop so as soon as I'd downloaded the app onto my phone, I was off.

The app itself is really easy to use and the menu's are nice and clear. Everything's bold and big with lots of pretty pictures to guide you through it. There's a great search option which saves a lot of time and your back button will take you back to the main menu which is handy. I was pretty intrigued about the delivery system so I ordered a few different items to test them out. There's no point being boring so I went for a right mixed bunch of items.

Last week was Half Term so the kids were doing their usual 'I'm Bored' and 'I have nothing to do' moans whilst moping around the house as it was raining so they couldn't go outside. Instead of hiding away in the kitchen (not that I normally do that, or maybe sometimes I do)
I took out my phone and opened up the Amazon Prime Now app to place my first order.

Two hours later this is what arrived, all packaged nicely in brown paper bags.

I ordered a few snacks and treats to keep them happy and a new game for them them too play which is just what it did. Our whole day changed dramatically once this delivery had arrived. The tears and moans went out the window with the rain and smiles appeared.

Using the Amazon Prime Now app not only saved my sanity but it really saved the day. From start to finish, using the app to place the order, receiving a text message to let you know your order is on it's way. The friendly drivers and the beautifully packaged bags, everything was fantastic. My order went smoothly and everything arrived as expected.

That order, although day saving for me, was pretty straight forward so I decided to place another one, slightly more challenging this time. It was a hot day and the kids were at school. I was looking in the freezer for some ice cream when I realised there wasn't any. Again I reached for my phone and opened up the Amazon Prime app to order some. I wanted to see if their delivery service could deliver me ice cream without letting it melt.

I am very happy to report back that my ice cream did arrive still frozen and not melted at all, hooray. I'd also ordered some frozen pizza's as well as some other fridge items and all arrived in perfect chilled condition. I was pretty impressed even if I do say so myself.

Not only do you get the ease and comfort of ordering from your own home but you still get the amazing low prices that we all know and love Amazon for. There was one more item that I ordered with my ice cream goodies that you might spy at the top of the photo which is going to be a  gift for my son on his upcoming birthday. He'd been asking for a Star Wars Lightsaber set for the past few weeks but at £50 it was a little out of my budget so when I saw it on the Amazon Prime Now app for just £35, I couldn't not get him one. It came nicely wrapped up in a black plastic film wrap so he wouldn't have known what it was even if he had been home when it arrived and seen it was a lovely added touch.

Both my orders were made for very different reasons and both really made my day. I think I'm now slightly addicted to this app but what's not to love about it. Low prices, same day delivery and a generally great service. I'm just disappointed I didn't find it sooner.

You can check if your postcode is accepted here at Amazon Prime Now.

Disclosure: We were gifted a voucher to try out the app service but all the opinions expressed in this review are completely my own and 100% honest.

The Day We Shared a Little slice of Chocolate Heaven!

The Day We Shared a Little slice of Chocolate Heaven!

It all started last week when I read an email from Lindt asking 'would you like some chocolate?'. Well, it wasn't quite worded like that but it generally meant the same thing in my language. So obviously I jumped at the chance and excitedly replied 'Yes Please'.

Just a few days later a huge box arrived on my doorstep. Inside was not one box but 6 boxes of Lindt Swiss Luxury Selection Chocolates 445g in each. I was amazed! I mean, I love chocolate but there was no way that I could (or would) be able to eat all those.
So, I decided to share! I set myself a chocolate sharing task to share as much chocolate love as possible. I started with my parents, as we visited last week we brought them a box to share. At first my Mum was like, 'Oooh they're too pretty to eat' so she put them away. Worry not though she did ring me last night just to tell me how good they were so I count that one as a success. They loved them and really enjoyed sharing them together - yay!

Next up was my neighbours. I popped around a few days ago and handed them a box. Next door, lives an elderly lady and her daughter, both lovely ladies. Their faces lit up and they couldn't thank me enough but I didn't need their thanks, I was more than happy to share. I passed one of the ladies on the street this morning and she stopped me to thank me again and to let me know how much they enjoyed them with their cup of yea last night.

It's really is good to share. Not only does sharing mean my diet stays firmly on track but it feels pretty good seeing the faces of those I shared with and making them so happy too.

Last but not least I have a box put away for our Granny and Grampy who we'll be visiting next weekend. I'm sure they're going to love them and maybe they'll even share with us.

Thank you Lindt for being so generous and making so many people happy this week. Your chocolates are not only very pretty but they're delicious too. You can really see and taste the effort, hard work and love that has gone into making each and every one. We loved them!

Disclosure: We received our chocolate samples for free. Writing this post was not necessary but I wanted to do so to share our feel good sharing news.

We're all Ready for Shardfest 2016 - Are You?

We're all Ready for Shardfest 2016 - Are You?

Last years Shardfest was a fun family day out for us. We bought our tickets on the day and went along to check it out. It may have been my first time but not Daddy's as he had grown up in Shard End had been many times before, growing up with the festival over the years.

There were local stalls and lots of games for the kids. There was a main music stage with lots of local talent being showcased as well as several smaller ones dotted around the field. There was a wide variety of food stands and a family funfair too. We stayed for most of the day enjoying ourselves in the sunshine with the sounds of live music surrounding us.

This year Shardfest 2016 is set to be even Bigger and Better than ever! They're taking things up a notch. Oh, who am I kidding. They are taking things up a whole new level.
This year they've lined up a whole host of musical entertainment with lots of amazing celebrities to see and hear. There's even a very special VIP are for some.

The festival celebrates home-grown UK talent including X-Factor winner James Arthur and finalists Reggie n Bollie along with lots of other musicians such as, Lemar, Lisa Maffia, Romeo, Musical Youth, Asher D & DJ Sollie & Stooshe. It's going to be Amazing!

Shardfest 2016 will be taking place on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th July on the Norman Chamberlain Playing Fields, Pithall Road, Birmingham, B34 7PT.
