Having Fun With Smiggle Stationery #Review

Having Fun With Smiggle Stationery

Up until last week I had never heard of Smiggle before but now that I have, I am so glad. I love their stationary so much. Everything is bright and colourful and made for having fun.

I was sent some of their lovely stationery items to have a look at and play with. I received a wonderful bundle of items including a short zipper combo pencil case, a stax on highlighter, a 30 pack of pens, a Snake Puzzle and some pencils and two cute animal erasers.

My eldest daughter Chloe will be heading off to Secondary school in September so cute stationery is something she's already got her eye on. She was ecstatic when she saw these arrive, they're so bright and funky just like her. She's really excited about using them.

I've given her all of the items except the Snake Puzzle which my little man Ryan has claimed, he's really been enjoying this puzzle. This playful plastic puzzle can be moulded into countless shapes by simply twisting the pieces into the positions you want. Ryan's been making animals, numbers and all sorts, the possibilities really are endless.

The 30 pack of pens is my personal favourite as they smell so good! The set includes a mix of 30 gel, glitter, neon and pastel Smiggle pens which come all neatly packed in a carry case. The choice of colours is lovely and the selection of different styles is amazing. I've been playing with these all week and have to say I'm quite tempted to keep them myself.

The stax on highlighter is a lovely item, you will never have to carry around a box of highlighters again. This Stax on highlighter has 6 scented colours that stack on top of each other to form 1 giant highlighter reaching 22cm tall! It smells so sweet, I could sit there and sniff them all day but I won't as that would probably make me look a bit weird.

The short zipper combo pencil case is fantastic, it's really funky with all it's zippers and openings. It's really bright and colourful which we loved and it's a great size to hold everything you want it too. It's not too big or bulky, it's just right for taking your essentials to school.

Why have a normal, boring eraser when you can have a cute cat or dog one with Smiggle? These erasers are way too cute and look so lovely, I'm sure Chloe is going to be very popular with her friends with these in her pencil case. Smiggle has so many lovely items in their ranges, the colours and ideas are just amazing. We're all in love with their stuff now.

Disclosure: We received our bundle of Smiggle stationery for the purpose of this review but that does not influence my thoughts or opinions on them in any way.
They Are always 100% honest and my own.

Markwins Makeup for Girls #Review

Markwins Makeup for Girls

My girls love make up but I'm not a huge fan of sharing mine so we've been busy trying out some of Markwins gorgeous makeup for girls over the past few weeks. I don't allow my girls to wear makeup outside but we do play with it inside occasionally just for fun.

Markwins has lots of gorgeous make up sets for girls in lots of brand varieties. There's Disney Princesses, Monster High, Barbie, Minnie Mouse and even new Frozen. They've got makeup for every age and lots of choice of colours and items.

Chloe is my eldest daughter, she's 11 going on 16. She loves Monster High as it's more funky and closer to her age range. She was so happy when a Creepy Cool Cosmetics Bag and Totally Clawsome! Nail Set arrived for her to play with. The Creepy Cool Cosmetics Bag contains: 2 x nail polish ( one pink and one blue) 2 x lipsticks, 1 x quad eyeshadow compact, 1 x blush compact, 1 x lip gloss palette, 1 x set of false nails, 1 x toe separator, 1 x sponge applicator, 1 x powder brush and 1 x lip brush. There's lots to play with in this set.

Chloe loved the lip glosses as she said they showed up much sparklier than the lipsticks. She also loved the nail varnishes as they were easy to apply and even easier to take off. The nail varnish was nice and thick so it went on in just one coat and then when it was dry it could be peeled right back off. She loved this as it means she can now paint her nails more often as we don't have to worry about her getting into trouble at school. From now on she can simply peel it off the night before. I really like this feature too, it's a great idea.

The Totally Clawsome set contains: 4 x nail polish, 1 x toe separator, 1 x set of false nails, 2 x sticker sets and 1 x nail jewels set. Chloe loves the colour selection and has been having great fun doing her nails with these. She's feeling very grown up and spoilt this week.

Lily my youngest daughter who is now 7 is a huge Minnie Mouse, Disney Princess and Barbie fan so she was sent some gorgeous goodies from these ranges for her to play with. Her favourite set was the gorgeous Time to Shop! Makeup Collection which included:  4 x lip gloss compacts ( 2 butterflys and 2 minnie mouse ears ) 1 x cream eyeshadow palette, 1 x lipstick, 2 applicators and 1 x sticker. She was so impressed with this set, it was full of pretty colours and lots of lip glosses which she loves using. She also received some Barbie Nail varnish and lipstick sets and lots of Disney Princess Lip glosses.

My Lily is a lip gloss addict, she's always got one in her bag or pocket which she uses around 50 times a day so she was so excited when she saw all her new lovely glosses. They're nice and small to fit in her pocket and have firm screw on lids so they won't be leaking in there. The cream eyeshadows were lovely in this set, the case they come in is so cute too!

My girls have both had such a fabulous time playing with their Markwins makeup, they're both now huge fans! At Markwins, they know that dressing up and playing with make up is all part of being a little girl but they also know that as a parent, we don't want to be worrying about what your child is playing with. All their cosmetic collections for kids are fun, as well as being safe.  They take great pride in making sure that all the cosmetics in their kids ranges adhere to and surpass the European toy regulations and conform to EU cosmetic policies.

With all this in mind, Markwins bring to you some truly inspiring ranges from Monster High, Disney Princess, Minnie Mouse , Barbie and Pop. These collections combine imaginative and creative play with the utmost consideration of the safety of your child, including peelable, water-based nail polish and the inclusion of no glass or heavy metals in any of our components.

All their sets are aimed at children aged 3 years and older and some may require some adult supervision. You can buy them from lots of high street retailers like Toys R Us, Asda and Argos. You can see the full list of where to buy online at their lovely site.

Markwins Makeup for girls gets an amazing 5/5 from Chloe, Lily and myself. The girls had so much fun playing with it and I've not had to worry one bit as it was all as easy to remove as it was to put on which is the biggest thing I love about this brand.

Days Out: Hatton Country World

 Hatton Country World

Yesterday we had an amazing day out at Hatton Country World in Warwickshire. We set off around 10:15 am and arrived at 11. It was a 45 minute drive for us from our home in Birmingham but one we were so much looking forward to doing for weeks.

Hatton Country World is hosting a huge Easter Eggstravaganza over the Easter Holidays from 12th - 29th April 2014 so we had to check it out. It's been a few years since our last visit so we were very excited to see all the the new activities and of course our old favourites too.

On arrival we were greeted by a Piggie Person who was waving at all the kids as they came in. With two very excited children jumping up and down it was going to be a very long day. Our first stop was a quick look inside at Snorty's Superslide Mania which was a huge indoor play area full of huge slides, rope courses, ball pools and so much more. It's also home to the Cafe but we were coming back later on in the day to enjoy this bit.

After a quick play inside we headed outside to the Guinea Pig Village where we got to see lots of cute and cuddly Guinea Pigs, rabbits, sheep and pigs too. The children and I were delighted that we got to hold and stroke the Guinea Pigs, they were so lovely and soft and mega cute.

I loved seeing the baby animals, there was some new little lambs and some gorgeous new piglets. We got to feed the sheep and the goat with some pots of feed that we bought for just 50 pence which was lots of fun, the kids had a great time. I could have watched those sweet little piglets all day, they were so sweet and cute. Awwww!

Not far from the Guinea Pig Village was one of Hatton's newest attractions, their Scales & Tails. Now I'm not a fan of anything with scales so I was a little scared about this part but not my little man Ryan he was raring to go and couldn't wait to get up close and personal with all the animals in there. He loved seeing the snakes and the big spiders but loved being able to hold one of the lizards on his lap the best. I couldn't believe how brave he was, just 3 years old and holding a lizard on his lap happily giving it a loving stroke or two.

Next stop on our fun day out was the fairground rides and the bouncy castles and super slides. All of which are completely free to go one, with Hatton you pay to get in and then all the attractions inside are then free which is one part that this mummy loves.

The only thing that we did that wasn't free was the pony rides which were £2.50 a go and the Buckaroos Cow which was a machine and cost £1 a go.

After playing on the slides and bouncing around on the outdoor trampolines we had a go at looking for gold in the Gold Rush game. We dug through the sand and sieved out the water trying to find pieces of gold. When we gad collect 10 pieces of gold we could exchange them for a gold medal. It wasn't easy finding 10 pieces of gold but after about half an hour we managed it and took it over to the kiosk to claim our reward. Luckily we only needed one set of 10 pieces to collect a medal for all of us, well each of the kids anyway. I couldn't have one as I was a little old, boo hoo. I might borrow one of the kids when they are not looking.

Hatton has lots to do outside, there's a huge sandy volleyball pitch, Frisbee Golf and a huge adventure play area with ropes to climb and slides to slide down. There's even a set of old fashioned boat swings which the kids loved having a go on.

Next up for us was the fantastic Easter Egg Hunt. These were held at 3 set times throughout the day and you could go along and join in any one that you wanted. We went along to the 1.30 pm hunt and had an amazing time. We were greeted by the Easter Bunny himself and taken to a huge field filled with cute Easter decorations and lots of hidden plastic eggs. We had to collect 5 different coloured plastic eggs to claim our prize which was 6 real chocolate mini eggs. We really enjoyed the hunt, there was 50 children at a time taking part but enough eggs for everyone. I loved the fact that every child got their 6 chocolate eggs whether they found all the plastic eggs or not which was great for the smaller children taking part.

After all that egg hunting we were pretty hungry so we headed back inside to the Cafe to eat. Most people tend to bring a picnic when they come to Hatton as the food can be a little pricey but today we were going to treat ourselves and give it a try. For those who do bring their own food you will be very pleased to know that Hatton has lots of outdoor picnic spots, tables and benches dotted all around the park for families to use and enjoy.

We ordered chicken chunks, chips and beans for the kids and sausage and chips for Daddy and their special of the day, Pizza and chips for me. All of the food was delicious and went down a treat, yes it might be costly, our 4 meals and 4 drinks cost us a total of £28 but it was all delicious and very much enjoyed by all of us (Ignore Lily's grumpy face in the pic).

After dinner we were all ready to go back outside and have some more fun so this time we headed over to the JCB Track where there were lots of JCBs to ride on, pedal or push. Ryan and Lily loved this, they were playing here for almost an hour before we had to drag them away to try something else but that's the thing with Hatton. There's just so much to do, one day just isn't enough to do it all. We could quite happily go back to do some of the other stuff.

As well as the wonderful JCB Track there is also a big Tractor track too. You get to pedal or push your tractor (depending on which your child chooses) around a tyre set course which is always lots of fun. My two loved this, it was great fun to watch for me but not for Daddy who spend most of his time giving Ryan a push all the way around.

Hatton also has a huge sandpit area which is full of big digger and lots of buckets and spades for all the children to play with. On a gorgeous day like yesterday this is just perfect for summer fun. My two played here for over an hour just digging and playing in the sand whilst I got to relax on the grassy banks nearby just soaking up the sun. What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. Hatton really is a delightful place to be when the sun is shining!

Our day ended at 5.30 when the park was going to close but not before we had a quick visit to the gift shop on the way out. We really had an amazing day and did so much. We didn't get to do everything but we did what we wanted to do so we were all very happy. If you're planning a day out in the West Midlands this Easter or any day in fact, Hatton Country World is definitely one to try. It's one of my top 10 all time favourite places to visit!

Adults cost £12.95, children cost £13.95 and under 2's are free. With so much to do and see at Hatton Country World it's worth every penny. We had an amazing time and can't wait to go again, they hold lots of amazing events all through the year so keep an eye out so you don't miss one that you might love. Hatton is beautiful in the summer but it's Pumpkin Picking in October is always lots of fun too, another one of our faves.

Thank you so much for Hatton Country World who kindly invited us and covered the cost of our trip this time - we had an amazing time. Thank you.

Draw Wipe and Draw again with Skribbies High Top Trainers #Review

Draw Wipe and Draw again with Skribbies
High Top Trainers

Skribbies are super comfy kids trainers but that's not all. Designed in the UK, Skribbies have been developed with a special material and magic pens to allow your kids to create their own style, every day. When you buy a pair of Skribbies you not only a get your awesome shoes but you also get a pack of 6 pens, monster stickers and a wristband. You use the pens and stickers to customise your shoes and then use your wristband to wipe off the drawings. It also allows you to store a pen on it for customisation on the go!

Yesterday we went along to see them for ourselves at their Pop Up Shop in the Birmingham Bullring which is open to the public for the whole of this week. Inside the store they have a fantastic display full of colourful bears from their very own logo. There was Skribbies stacked high and low, looking very bright and colourful I must add.

I went along to see these Skribbies for myself with my two youngest children in tow. Lily had seen the adverts on TV and was really excited about getting a pair for herself. Inside the store they were showered with treats from biscuits and sweets to their very own pair of Skribbies.

Inside the box you get 6 brightly coloured pens and a pack of delightful stickers which can be reused time and time again. The kids loved being able to draw on their new trainers, normally this would be a big no no in our house as only paper is for drawing on. After a few seconds of hesitation they were off, doodling, scribbling and drawing away.

Ryan drew one picture at a time and then wiped it clean, I think he was testing them out too see where the pictures were going. He did manage to draw on the bottom of his trainers which I have to say does not wipe off, I don't think he was meant to draw there but it's ok as no one will be seeing the soles of his trainers too much. Lily on the other hand was looking more like a little sports model sporting her new cool wristband and wearing her Skribbies.

Both my children and I loved their new Skribbies, they're lots of fun and really do work. You can stick stickers on them and draw all over them and then wipe them completely clean again. So depending on their moods they can customise them in any way they feel like doing.

They're available in three different colours and cost £39.99 a pair which isn't too bad really for the enjoyment they get out of them. If they had them in my size I think I'd quite like a pair too.

Postman Pat Showbiz Pat #Review

Postman Pat Showbiz Pat

To celebrate Postman Pat: The Movie which will be in cinemas nationwide on 23rd May  Character Options has released Showbiz Pat In it Pat is seduced by the bright lights of the big city and auditions for a X-Factor-style singing competition, but finds that in his absence the post does not run smoothly.

Showbiz Pat grooves along to the music, you simply press Pat's hand and watch him dance as the music plays! He's aimed at children 3+ and requires 3AA batteries to work.

We've been playing with our very own Showbiz Pat all week and have to say he's a rather delightful little fellow. He plays 3 different songs when you press his hand, each is only short but when you're a mum listening to them over and over again, short is a good thing!

His uniform is lovely, it's blue and glittery with a red postmans badge in the corner of the blazer. He has nice big feet which help him to balance making him stand up easily. In his hand he holds a grey microphone which I guess he uses to sing into. Showbiz Pat is a lovely toy, he's interactive and great to play with. My little man loves him and runs around singing too.

If you have a Postman Pat fan in your house then they will love this. Showbiz Pat is lots of fun!

Quit Smoking with a Vype Electronic Cigarette #Review

Quit Smoking with a Vype Electronic Cigarette

If you are a smoker looking for a truly satisfying alternative to cigarettes then Vype could be for you. Vype electronic cigarettes offer adult smokers the sensations of smoking, but they're completely tobacco-free. Their Electronic Cigarettes offer a more realistic smoking experience, when you draw air through your Vype, an electronic heating element is activated, which vaporizes the e-liquid for inhalation. They use ECOpure which is one of the most reliable e-liquids available. Classic variant ECOpure contains only three ingredients: nicotine, glycerol and purified water. For our Menthol variant, we add ethanol and menthol.

Vype products are available in disposable or rechargeable (reload) format. Deciding which one to buy depends on how you like to Vype. The Vype Reload costs £14.99 for the starter kit. With up to 250 puffs per reload cartridge and a USB recharging system, Vype reload offers you a smooth and satisfying experience on the go. And it's one of the smallest rechargeable e-cigarettes on the market. It's also available in 3 flavours; Classic Bold or Regular or Menthol.

I'm not a smoker but Daddy is, so he's been giving this a try over the past few weeks. He liked the packaging and the contents and found everything really easy to put together and use. He didn't really like the taste of it too much but for me that's a good things as then he wouldn't want to use it too much meaning he could quit much quicker. He's given up smoking before but is now looking for an easier way to quit again. He's always wanted to try one of these as a lot of his friends use them whilst they are out so he was more than happy to test them for me.

He liked the actual Electron Cigarette itself, the shape and size were very comfortable to hold and very much like a real cigarette. He didn't however like the taste too much so I'm guessing this one just isn't for him. He's so glad he got to finally try them though as at least he can now say that he tried. What one person doesn't like though another person will love.

What did you use to help you stop smoking?

Disclosure: We were sent the Vype started kit for the purpose of this review but the opinions expressed are 100% honest and always my own.

I need an Easter Pick Me Up! #Review

Hotel Chocolat Easter Pick Me Up Gift Bag

Hotel Chocolat's Easter Pick Me Up Gift Bag is full of uplifting Easter goodies and seasonal specialties to nibble! These bite sizes treats are the perfect size for sharing with all the family this Easter or keeping to yourself if you choose. It costs £13 and contains: Contents - 6 White Praline Bunnies, 6 Salted Caramel Egglets, 4 Raspberry Zinger Egglets.

£13 may sound like a lot for a small pack of chocolates but these are truly worth every penny and I would pay it time and time again! Hotel Chocolat really know their stuff when it comes to making the best chocolates. Not only do they come beautifully presented in a gorgeous gift bag but each smaller selection then comes individually wrapped for that extra freshness.

My children loved the cute White Praline Bunnies, these high-cocoa white chocolate Easter bunnies are filled with a smooth hazelnut milk chocolate praline and taste delicious. Luckily there's 6 of these lovely treat which means there's plenty for one each to enjoy. They may be little but don't be fooled as they're packed full of flavour and fun.

If you like something sweet then the Raspberry Zinger Egglets are going to blow you away. You get 4 gorgeously smooth raspberry truffles with a zingy touch of lime, balanced in a creamy white chocolate ganache. These are amazing! The sweetness is so good and that tiny taste of bitter lime makes for a very pleasant taste sensation.

Last but not least was my favourite, the Salted Caramel Egglets. I am a huge caramel fan but I have never tasted anything quite like these. Theses tiny little chocolate eggs a sure slice of heaven, they're full to the brim of smooth, flowing salted caramel. Be careful when you bite them as they can get a little messy, but in a good way of course. Even though there were 6 of these I do have a little confession to make, I ate them ALL by myself. They were just so good, way too good to share. I think I've found myself a new favourite sweet treat, these are amazing!

So whether it's your taste buds or just your spirits that need an Easter Pick Me Up, you definitely won't be disappointed with this gorgeous little gift bag. It really has something for everyone, the caramel lovers, the fruit cravers and the white chocolate cuties.

Bomb Cosmetics Bath Melts Chocolate Gift Set #Review

Bomb Cosmetics Bath Melts Chocolate Gift Set

This gorgeous Bomb Cosmetics Bath Melts Chocolate Gift Set from Find Me A Gift is currently on sale for only £6.49. They would normally sell for £9.99 but have a 35% saving at the moment.  It's a delightful pampering gift for chocoholics aged 10 to 100.

The Bath bombs are the perfect luxury gift for any chocoholic. You simply drop the chocolate bath bomb of your choice into the water and watch it fizz, softly transforming the bathroom into a beautiful mix of chocolate aromas.

This Bomb Cosmetics Bath Melts Chocolate Gift Set comes with 6 different flavoured bath melts such as; chocolate buttercup, mocha, chocolate orange and vanilla. You can relax as the bath bombs dissolve, and slowly release their Cocoa and Shea Fruit Butters into the water to moisturise and soften your skin.

I've been trying these out over the past few days and have to see say they are very pretty. It seemed a real shame to drop them into my bath when they looked so lovely sitting in their box but I managed it in the end. They fizz very slowly and make your bath water go a cloudy colour. They smell delicious but please don't be tempted to eat them as they're not edible.

These Bomb Cosmetics Bath Melts are very nice, they look great before use and melt into your bath to smell lovely and make your skin all soft and lovely after. For just £6.49 they're a real bargain and could make a great treat for someone you know. You would never know how cheap they were by looking at them, they're made to a really high quality and look beautiful.

I've used 3 of my Bath Melts so far and have really enjoyed using every one. I still have 3 more to go which I do have to say I'm quite looking forward to using in my next bath. What do you put in your bath? Have you tried Bath Cosmetics Bath Melts before?

Disclosure: I was sent a box of Bath Cosmetics Bath Melts for the purpose of this review but that doesn't influence my opinions expressed as they are always 100% honest and my own.

Days Out! There's a New Penguin Ice Adventure In the Sea Life Centre Birmingham!

Days Out! There's a New Penguin Ice Adventure In the Sea Life Centre Birmingham!

So yesterday we all became VIP's for the day at our local Sea Life Centre Birmingham. We were so lucky and got to meet the amazing new Gentoo Penguins days before they open to the public on Monday 7th April. The new Ice Adventure features are truly wonderful and a great addition to the their already magical Sea Life Centre.

When we arrived at around 11am it was still night time in the penguins home, the lights were dimmed very low and most of the penguins were still sleeping. It was so lovely to see them behaving naturally, like they would if they were still at home in New Zealand.

Although it's nice and warm on our side of the glass it didn't look so cosy on their side, well not for us humans anyway. They looked very happy, there was a huge pool of water as well as an icy surface too. Inside the Ice Adventure there was an Ice Wall where you could put your hands on to feel the cold temperatures that the penguins feel. I did stick my hand on it and have to say it was freezing, so cold in fact that after a few seconds my hand began to stick!

The penguins were beautiful and so funny, their quirky characteristics sure shone through. Ryan was totally fascinated, he sat watching them for ages and didn't want to leave them. We enjoyed their cute company for around an hour before setting off to enjoy the rest of the Sea Life Centre. We'd never been before so it was so exciting for us all, a whole new family adventure. There was so much to see and do and lots of animals and creatures to explore.

We got to see a fun Spongebob film in 4D where we got bumped around as our seat moved and spayed in the face by water jets. Bubbles floated around our heads and children laughed aloud, it really was a magical 10 minutes for all of us.

We got to stroke a Starfish and touch a real life Crab which was kinda scary but also really fun. We got to see Nemo and his friends and watch the Stingrays in their huge tank. Ryan loved the Rays tank as there was some really big fish in there which he decided to call 'Big Bad Barry' after the big fish in his favorite TV show 'Ben and Holly'.

We got to see the sharks as they swam above our heads in the underwater tunnel and check out the Jelly Fish in their ultraviolet tanks. The kids had an amazing day, there really was lots to see and do inside the centre. We took part in little challenges and answered questions about what we saw which earned us stamos in our books as we went along. Completing these fun tasks earned each of them a little reward from the gift shop, a gold medal! All 3 of them were delighted and so pleased they had taken part, it gave them a real sense of achievement and sent them home feeling very happy about their visit.

The new Penguin Ice Adventure was amazing and we really had a wonderful time. If you're a penguin lover then this is definitely one place to add on your 'Place To Go' list this Easter. This new and exciting exhibition opens to the public on Monday April 7th. I'm sure it's going to be a very popular attraction, I know I can't wait to go back and see them soon!

Getting Fitter With The New FMAG Physioworld Range #Review

Getting Fitter With The New Find Me A Gift
Physioworld Range.

This past few months I have been trying my hardest to get a little bit fitter and firmer for summer. I go to the gym three times a week but sometimes find that most of the equipment there is Cardio based and not really going to help me flatten my tummy like I wanted. I really enjoy going to the gym but I wanted something at home to help me reach my goals.

I'm already a huge fan of the Find Me A Gift site so I was really excited when I saw one of their Facebook posts about a new Physioworld range they were now stocking.

There was two products that really caught my eye, the Physioworld Swiss Ball with Pump and the Weighted Hula Hoop. We have a ball at our gym but I'm always too embarrassed to use it in front of others so this was my chance to try it out in private at home. It comes in comes in 3 different sizes, you choose the size you will need from the height that you are. I went for the smallest size  (55cm x 55cm) as it was for people who are 5 ft 1" to 5 ft 6" and i'm 5 ft 4".

The ball itself comes deflated in a small box with a free pump. The pump was easy to use and inflated the ball really well and quite quickly too. Being the wimp that I am, it took me around 10 minutes to inflate but I bet you could do it much quicker than I did. It was a little smaller than I thought it would be but it was still big enough for me to do what I wanted to do on it. I used it for helping me with my sit ups, these are done whilst sitting on it. I also used it for helping me with my squats which I used against a wall with the ball behind my back. Both exercises are known to help flatten and tone stomachs which is just what I was after so I was more than happy to stick with the two I was doing.

The Physioworld Swiss Ball With Pump would cost you between £12.99 and £15.99 depending on which size ball you go for, the bigger obviously being the more expensive. I'm really enjoying being able to use the ball at home and would definitely pay the money for it. It's a great exercise aid to have at home and I love it already. It's easy to use and fun too, there's probably hundreds of other exercises that I can do on it too. For now I'm happy with the two that I already do but I will be looking up some more to do once I get bored of doing these.

The Weighted Hula Hoop is a favourite of mine as I loved hula hooping when I was a little girl. My girls both have hula hoops now which they love so I thought this would be a great way of us all playing together whilst I got a good workout at the same time. Again it comes in three weights, 1.2 kg pink and grey, 1.5 kg orange and grey or 2.1 kg yellow and grey.

This time I went for the middle size, the 1.5 kg as I wanted a middle weight to work out with. All three hoops are approximately 100 cm x 100 cm once constructed which is the perfect size for adults. It comes flat packed in a small box which is great for when you're not using it and want to store it away. There are 6 pieces in total which all slot together very easily to make your hoop, they come apart nice and easy too which is always good to know.

Once constructed I couldn't wait to try it out so off out into the garden I went as I was going to need lots of space. The hula hoop is easy to use and moves around quite nicely but one thing I must say is that it did hurt a bit. The weight was a little heavy for me, much heavier than I thought it would be so I'd go for the smallest weight if you are going to get one. Start lower and work up to a bigger weight maybe. I've still been using my new hula hoop but I make sure I'm well padded out with joggers, jumper and coat before I do. This way it doesn't hurt my hips so much as it goes around. I was expecting it to hurt slightly as it's weighted and as they say, no pain no gain. The hoop is made from Polyethylene and soft EVA foam so they have tried their best to prevent any pain, it's probably just me being a wimp.

The weighted hula hoop would cost you between £15.99 and £19.99 depending on which weight you go for, again the heavier ones will cost you slightly more.

I'm so glad that Find Me A Gift now stock fitness aids as for people like me they are a real life saver. They're easy to use and low priced, well made and very productive. I will be continuing to use my new weighted hula hoop and swiss ball over the next few months and I'm now actually getting excited about summer as I know my mummy tummy should be all in hand by the time it arrives. Working out can be done at home and be fun at the same time! Find Me A Gift have definitely helped me out this year, I wonder what they will sell next?

Disclosure: I was sent both of the products for free for the purpose of this review but that does not influence my review. All the opinions given are 100% honest and all my own.
