Genius Foods Croissants & Pain Au Chocolat #Review

Genius Foods Croissants & Pain Au Chocolat

Last week we got to try some new pastries from the Genius Foods range.

Pains au Chocolat: These come ready to bake as the packet says that they're best served warm. You simply place them on a baking tray and pop them in the oven on Gas mark 4 for around 9-10 mins. They're very easy to cook and even easier to eat. They'd be perfect as a snack or great for breakfast. They're light, flaky and very chocolaty. They're the ultimate gluten-free indulgence. They are Gluten Free, Wheat Free and suitable for Vegetarians.

Croissant: Again these come ready to bake straight from the packet. They can be cooked in the same way as the Pain au Chocolat which I've mentioned above. These are Gluten Free, Wheat Free, Dairy Free and suitable for Vegetarians. These light, flaky pastries are delicious served with a smudge of butter and would only set you back £1.99 a pack.

We do love trying out new foods here and it's always a pleasure when the foods taste as good as these did. Both the Croissants and the Pains au Chocolat were delicious!

Disclosure: I was sent a packet of each for the purpose of this review but that doesn't affect my opinions as they are always 100% honest and all my own.

Our Favourite Family TV Moments.

Our Favourite Family TV Moments.

Have you ever wondered what your TV favourites say about you? TalkTalk have created a fun quiz to help you find out. With YouView from TalkTalk now being Britain’s fastest growing TV service, it’s quickly becoming the home of family entertainment. They questioned  families up and down the country to uncover what the nation enjoys most about telly, and see how the likes of catch up, the ability to pause, rewind and record live TV, and instantly watch on demand movies, sport and kids programmes have improved TV.

They found eight different types of TV viewers or ‘TV Tribes’ ranging from ‘Family Guys’ who enjoy nothing more than bringing the family together to watch their favourite programmes to ‘Secret Viewers’ who tell everyone they watch the likes of Newsnight but secretly revel in trash TV. Well, today I took their quiz to find out what kind of viewer I am.

My Result: I am The Compliant.

I tend to watch whatever my other half or housemates watch. I don’t really mind what’s on, and even if it's something I don’t want to watch, I don’t get much say in the matter. I will often be doing other things in the same room while they have the TV on. I will either be browsing the internet while the TV is on, doing housework, or pursuing one of my hobbies.

9% of people belong to this TV Tribe.

Wow, this is spot on for me! I spend every day with only the likes of Peppa Pig and Fireman Sam for company as my three year old gets so much pleasure out of watching them. Then from 4pm onwards I find myself sat watching awful American children's dramas full of spoilt teenage girls and dramatic wannabees for my girls entertainment. It's not until after 7pm every night once the kids are all in bed that I finally get control of my own remote and finally get to enjoy a few hours of my favourite soaps. It's a long wait but so worth it I guess.

Why don't you take the TalkTalk Quiz and see what kind of viewer you are.

With three children with four years age gaps in between them, they're taste in programmes can vary a lot meaning they often fight about what they want to watch. I try to make it fair and give them all half an hour each but even that doesn't work sometimes as there's always something on that they want on a time not in their given slot. It can be a nightmare at times!

Once a week though all of this changes and we actually all sit down together to enjoy a family film. Every Sunday at 5pm, it's Family Film Time. I choose a new film (to save arguments) that none of us have seen and we all settle down with a few snacks to watch it.

This has to be my all time favourite use of our TV and definitely my favourite TV moment of every week. As much as I do love watching my soaps I kinda love seeing their faces as they get entangled in the magical stories and hearing their laughter more. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, it makes all those previous rows and fall outs all disappear.

Family Movies, whether new or old always bring us together and unite us as one even if it is just for an hour and a half. Movies make us laugh and cry at times, hide behind our cushions or even jump up and down for joy. Whatever the movie we're watching, we're guaranteed to have a fun family time filled with lots of memorable moments.

My three might be getting bigger and older, starting to go off on their own adventures and enjoying their own things but one thing for sure is that every Sunday at 5PM they will ALL be by my side ready to watch a movie. No matter how big they get, we'll always have that!

This is my entry into the Tots100 Share your TV moments Competition

Me and My Converse! #Review

Me and My Converse!

Have you ever been on the outside of the fashion bubble? The one who sits and watches the fashion trends pass by but never actually joins in? I know I have, I do this all the time! I see 'trends' like playsuits and high heels, matching clutch bags and shoes and think .. Why?

I've never been very good at blending in, I guess I just don't like being one of the crowd. I've always wanted to be more that, I've always want to remain me (whoever that might be).  I wear whatever I feel comfortable in or whatever takes my fancy whilst I'm out shopping. I don't really have a specific style or a certain way of dressing. I just get up in the morning and throw on what I feel like wearing at that time. Isn't that what everyone does? (I'm betting not).

Well anyway last week an opportunity arose that I just couldn't pass up, it was my chance to try out one of those so called trends. All of my friends were wearing a brand called Converse and have been ranting about how great they are for months, so I finally took the plunge and got myself a pair. Me, being me though I couldn't bring myself to buy a plain, pretty pair so I went for the most unique ones that they had. I wouldn't want to look like I'm trying to fit in now.

I went to Cloggs and chose myself a rather funky pair of Converse Seasonal All Star Ox in Black and when they arrived the next day I popped them straight on. I did feel a bit weird wearing a brand that everyone else was wearing but they looked really good on me and if I must admit, they made me feel good too. Don't get me wrong I still believe that clothes don't make a person but these were really nice and I actually liked wearing them. I almost felt a little guilty that I Liked them so much but not too much so that I'd take them off.

The soles are chunky which seems to be what makes them so comfy, as they're not putting your feet flat on the hard floor. I loved the patterns on them, there's stars and safety pins and skulls too, they're very different which is very me. They're very easy to clean too. I was worried that the white sides and fronts would get dirty really easily but so far I've just been wiping them clean with a damp cloth at the end of every day and they've been fine.

If you were to buy these in the shops they would cost you around £55 which I'm not sure if I'd pay or not. A lot of people buy shoes like this for the brand or the name alone but I like to buy for quality or comfort. These shoes are both great quality and very comfortable but to me, when I have 3 kids to put shoes on first it's still a little higher than I would normally be prepared to pay. If I had the cash spare then maybe I would but at the moment I just wouldn't.

Having said all that me and my new Converse shoes are very happy together at the moment and will continue to be so for a long time to come I hope. My eldest daughter is happy, she likes having a trendy mum as she keeps telling me. Her feet better stop growing or she'll be catching up with me and trying to wear them when I'm not looking.

Before last week I always saw Converse as a younger persons shoe but not any more. Converse are now an anybody shoe in my eyes which is a good thing.

Disclosure: I was sent my Converse shoes for the purpose of this review but that does not in anyway influence me. All the opinions expressed are 100% and all my own.

Personalise your Mother's Day Gifts on PhotoBox #Review

Personalise your Mother's Day Gifts on PhotoBox

I like to make my Mother's Day gift special but I don't like to spend too much money doing so. I wanted something different from the ordinary, every year I buy my Mum a box of last minute chocolates or flowers but this year I wanted to do something a bit more personal.

Photobox have a wonderful range of products that you can personalise easily by uploading your own photographs and then getting them printed onto the products of your choice. They have all sorts from things to choose from. There's personalised mugs and keyrings for those on a lower budget like me or bigger gifts like personalised calendars, canvases and chocolates for those who have a bit more to spend. The choice of gifts is fantastic but the delivery charges on the other hand are not so fantastic. Some items had it's own delivery charges which I didn't really like. I found myself changing my order of what I would like to have bought because of how much the delivery cost was going to be. For example I was going to choose a large canvas but the delivery cost would have been almost ten pounds which I thought was a bit steep so I changed my mind and choose some smaller items instead. I bought four items in total and had a total delivery charge of £8.97, there was three separate charges for the four items I ordered. It would be nice to have had just one standard delivery charge but overall I was happier with this amount seeing as the gifts I had bought were better value for my money than some of the other sites I have been on.

My first choice was a set of 3 keyrings for just £5.15. With a cute picture of all three of my children on both sides of it, it's the perfect little gift for the grandparents this Mother's Day. I've kept one for myself and will be giving one to each of the grandmothers. My second choice was a simple photo mug which cost £5.00. This time I used a picture I had made on my computer to brighten it up with a collage of pictures of my children. I was really pleased with how it turned out, it's really lovely and I can't wait to see my mum's face when she opens it.

My next purchase was a Mother's Day gift to myself, some new personalised Blog business cards. I was so happy with these, for just £12,49 I got 100 high quality, double sided, high gloss prints! I can't wait to get handing them out at my next Blog conference.

Last but not least I bought a photo mousemat for £7.20. Again I used the image I had made myself which I'm really glad I did as it came out really well giving me pictures on both sides of the mat but then leaving enough space in the centre for my mouse itself.

This Mother's Day I'm looking forward to seeing my Mum's face when she opens her gifts. I'm really pleased with my choice and I know that she's going to love them. The Photobox website itself was really easy to use, the prices of the gifts were pretty low and the delivery was really fast, it all came in 3 days so overall I was happy. What will you be buying your Mum this Mother's Day? Will you be sticking with the traditional flowers or will you be trying something different and going with a new and exciting personalised gift?

Disclosure: I was given some Photobox credit to purchase my order for this review but the opinions expressed are 100% honest and all my own.

Garden Fun With Ravensburger's Outdoor Mandala Designer Sets. #Review

Garden Fun With Ravensburger's Outdoor
Mandala Designer Sets.

This lovely set lets you design beautiful outdoor mandalas! What could be more fun than colouring outdoors on a sunny day?! With the super sized Mandala Designer, you'll be an amazing street artist, sketching beautiful designs on any paved surface!

Each design in the mandala template disk allows you to create lots of different pictures - you can turn the great outdoors into a colourful gallery full of fabulous artwork! You simply place the stencil onto the ground, choose your chalk colour and start designing! This particular set comes with a detailed template with fairies to draw unique creations! It contains 1 large mandala stencil, 6 colored chalks and a clear set of easy to follow Instructions.

We've been having lots of fun outside in our garden this week playing with our Outdoor Mandala Designer Fairy Dreams Set. You literally open the box, take out the stencil and the chalks and get going! It's such a simple idea but a lovely fun one, my three have loved it.

The chalks come in 6 bright colours and show up really well even on the dullest of pavements like ours, it's a lovely way to brighten up any garden. We've been having lots of fun colouring outside, using the provided stencil and doing free hand pictures too. Theses sets are aimed at children aged 5+ and come in three different designs so there's three templates to collect. My little man is only 3 but loves playing with it. I have to give him a little help by holding the stencil down for him but then he colours the rest himself. It's been nice to see them playing together doing something that they all love to do. What child doesn't like to colour?

We don't have much of a garden path but it was enough to make our mark on. You only need a small space but I guess you could do as much or as little as you like, it's up to you.

Here at the Mummy Of 3 Diaries household Lily, Ryan and I gave the Outdoor Mandala Designer Fairy Dreams Set a very well deserved 4/5 for it's fun play value and cute designs.

Disclosure: We were sent our set for the purpose of this review but all the opinions expressed are not effected by this and are 100% honest and my own.

Lalaloopsy Babies Doll - Crumbs Sugar Cookie #Review

Lalaloopsy Babies Doll - Crumbs Sugar Cookie

Lalaloopsy Babies are arriving into the range this spring, your favourite original characters are being transformed into cute little babies! They have soft, huggable bodies, which are perfect for little hands to cuddle and hold. Each doll comes with a bottle, dummy and the doll’s cute hat even matches their personalities. The sweet babies also each have a belly ‘button’ marked on them and a ‘sewn on’ date stamped on their bottoms.

Baby Crumbs Sugar Cookie is such a super sweet doll, she loves fresh cookies when it's time to eat. She's always happy and never sad, and if you give her a treat she'll be oh so glad. She costs £19.99 and is just one of the four new dolls from the Babies range.

Crumbs Sugar Cookie is a delightful little doll, she's cute and bright and huggably soft. She comes in a pretty cot shaped box like any new baby would and even has her own removable dummy and bottle. She's dressed in a pretty pink hat which can be taken off and a cute yellow diaper which can also be removed.. My girls have been fighting over her all week but on the front of the box it says 'From 4 to 104' so if they carry on I will be keeping her all for myself.

Lalaloopsy dolls were once just ordinary rag dolls that magically came to life when their very last stitch was sewn, taking on the personality of the fabrics used to make them. Crumbs Sugar Cookie was made from an old apron which is why she's so sweet!

I really like these new Lalaloopsy Babies, they're adorable and lots of fun. They're great for daytime play and nighttime cuddles, perfect for any time!

Disclosure: We were sent our Lalaloopsy Babies for the purpose of this review but that doesn't affect our review in any way. All opinions given are 100% honest and my own.

Could Shopping On MySupermarket Save You Money? #Review

Could Shopping On MySupermarket Save You Money?

If you are like me then I'm betting you've never heard of MySupermarket? I know I hadn't until today! MySupermarket is a brand new comparison website where you can do your weekly shop online and get the very best deals from 9 different stores all in 1 place. When I first heard about this, I must admit I was intrigued to find out just how was it going to work and was it actually going to save me any money?

My first impressions of the site itself were pretty good. Everything was well labeled and clearly laid out. There's lots of lovely pictures and easy to use search tabs. You basically go out your shopping as you normally would but if there is a better price for a product you add, you will be told and given the option to switch over to that cheaper store. I ignored a few of these helpful hints and carried on with my shopping though as I was happy to wait until the end to check the overall savings before making the decision of whether I should change store.

I loved the brightly detailed pictures and the easy to navigate tabs at the top. You worked your way through the store using the clearly labeled sections. The site was definitely easy to use and had lots of helpful hint and saving sections for you to browse through.

MySupermarket are definitely a different kind of supermarket, they help you to save more and not spend more than you have to. You can shop online for all your groceries and health & beauty products easily, quickly and very efficiently. They compare the prices and find you the best offers in the leading online stores. You can save up to an average of £17 every time you shop with them. On this occasion I saved myself a total of £3.73 on a £54 shop. It wasn't a huge saving but I was happy with that, every penny counts as they say!

Another thing I liked about the MySupermarket site was the continuous reminder of ways you could save more. You could see exactly what you had saved at all times and were given even more ways to increase those savings or find even better deals. My weekly shop took me around 45 minutes which is the same amount of time it would have taken me on any of the local supermarkets websites. From start to finish, using MySupermarket was a real pleasure and definitely an eye opening experience for me. I will definitely be coming back and using it again, why not? If it's going to save me money then it's always worth using in my opinion.

One thing I had wondered about before using the MySupermarket site was, how was it going to checkout my shopping from my chosen store from within this website? The answer to that question is when you're shopping is complete it then transfers all your shopping basket over to your desired store. It's done within seconds which was pretty clever. There was no fuss or messing about, all the items in your basket were moved over ready to checkout and pay.

MySupermarket also have an app called mySuperList – Shopping List which is available to download for free from your Google Play or App Store. It all works in the same way but you can do it all from your phone or tablet instead of a PC. It also has loads of extra features like scanning in store- so you can see that you're getting a great deal there and then! You can download it on Google Play or the App Store.

I can happily say that I will be using MySupermarket to do my shopping on from now on but what about you? What do you think? I'd love to hear from you if you've tried it.

Disclosure: I received my shopping for free for the purpose of this review but that does not in any way influence my opinions that I have expressed. They are 100% honest and my own!

Gigaset C620A - The Clever Family Phone #Review

Gigaset C620A - The Clever Family Phone

Until last week I'd not actually heard of Gigaset before so I was very excited to be trying out one of their super looking house phones. My house phone had seen better days but it's just one of those things that I'd put off replacing until it was actually dead and would work no more.

The Gigaset C620A costs around £59.99 and is available from both Argos and John Lewis. It's a great looking phone that has lots of extra features to make your life that little bit easier. You can use it to simplify your household routine with it's clever family phone features.

It's wonderful address book can store up to 250 entries, each with 3 numbers plus an email address and even reminder dates too. It has amazing HSP™ sound quality, so it's always clear even when talking hands-free. If you're hard of hearing sometimes then this is perfect! It has cute illuminated keys for easy access to SMS or voice messages on it's handy answering machine. I love the screensaver display, it's bright and easy to read and also has both a digital and analogue clock or colour picture slideshow, it's up to you.

I love the size of this phone, it's not too small that you can't see the screen clearly but it's also not too big that it doesn't then fit comfortably into the palm of your hand. Even though it's packed full of both fun and useful features it's still very easy to use and all of those sad features are all easy to access and find. The menu's on the screen itself are all nice and clear and laid out in a very organised manor. I'm so glad that I got to try a Gigaset handset as I'm so pleased with it and would now happily recommend them to all my family and friends.

Another thing I love about this phone is the fresh and funky ringtones that you can choose from, my phone rang the other day whilst I had a friend over and it sure made her laugh and smile. So much so, that now she wants one of these phones just to hear it ring in her house. The clear displays and clear sounds make this phone just perfect for families like mine. I'm now actually thinking of buying my mum and dad one of these now as it would be so great for them. They both struggle to hear their phone conversations on their current phone but with one like mine I;m sure they would find a massive improvement of the quality of the sound.

The Gigaset C620A has been a delight to test out and now it sits pride of place next to my TV. It's not only easy on the eye to look at but it's a great phone to use too! You can check out all of Gigaset's amazing phones online, there's so many designs to choose from. There really is a house phone built to suit everybody's needs!

Disclosure: I was sent my Gigaset handset for the purpose of this review but that does not in any way influence my review. My opinions expressed are 100% honest and my own!

Check Out WOW Toys New RSPCA Toys & #Win Your Own!

Check Out WOW Toys New RSPCA Toys
And Win Your Own!

This week we've been playing with WOW Toys new RSPCA toys. There's Pet Patrol Peggy, Rapid Response Rick and 6 different My Pocket Friends RSPCA.

Ryan who's now 3 loves playing with WOW Toys, we've already got a few of their construction vehicles as well as lots of their lovely bath toys in our house. This week we added the new RSPCA toys to our collection and I have to say they are adorable.

Pet Patrol Peggy from the RSPCA WOW Toys is a durable patrol vehicle in search of poorly animals to rescue. Her push and go motorised action means she can whiz around WOW Town without the need for nasty batteries! Her dog basket with two cute puppies fits nicely on the back with Colin the dog fitting nice and snug inside. Peggy also has a magnetic trailer hook which can be used with other WOW toys in the range.

Rapid Response Rick from the RSPCA WOW Toys is a cute patrol quad bike also in search of poorly animals to rescue. Rick uses his fun-rocking suspension to bump around WOW Town without the need for batteries! His removable inspector figure, Robin, is always on hand to help Rick in his search and he fits nicely in the driver seat as well as all other vehicles in the WOW Toys range. Ginger the cat completes this RSPCA vehicle set from WOW Toys.

The highly collectible RSPCA My Pocket Friends from WOW Toys is the fantastic new animal themed addition to the My Pocket Friends collection. The only figure pack for pre-schoolers from 1-5 years which contains a range of 6 cute animal figures in total with a secret figure in each pack. There is also a fun activity booklet on the RSPCA in each pack.

Buying these product helps the RSPCA save animals.

We've been having lots of fun playing with these this week, they're lovely toys to play with and great for sparking the children's imaginations. My little man Ryan has been running around rescuing lots of little animals all week. He's been having a great time and will continue to do so for many months to come as WOW Toys are built to last.

The new RSPCA WOW Toys got a very well deserved 5/5 from us here at Mummy Of 3 Diaries. They're beautifully painted, great fun to play with and perfect for rough and tough play which makes them perfect for my little man.

New Warburtons Pancakes #Review

New Warburtons Pancakes.

When I heard that Warburtons had made pancakes, I was so excited and couldn't wait to try them! There's three exciting flavours; Original Sweet, Cookie and Chocolate Chip.

My girls and I often tuck into pancakes some mornings, they're a delicious treat perfect for starting the day. With these new exciting flavours from Warburtons, our mornings just got a whole lot better. Pancakes are not just for pancake day in our house!

My three were very excited when they saw what we were having for breakfast this morning, they're little faces literally lit up. I gave each of them a choice of which flavour they would like to try but me being me I went for one of each on my plate as you can see from the picture.

I poured a little syrup onto each of them and tucked in. My favourite has to be the Cookie one, oh my gosh was it yummy! The Sweet one came in second for me followed closely by the Chocolate Chip in third but they were all very nice indeed.

Chloe my eldest (11) went for the Cookie ones and loved every bite. Lily who's 6 went for the Chocolate Chip and after eating them all up practically begged me for more (She didn't get any though as that would have been greedy) Last but not least my little man who's not normally a fan of pancakes asked for a Sweet one to try and actually ate it all up and then had a second.

I had three happy children this morning who are all now very much looking forward to breakfast time tomorrow morning to have some more. Breakfast times will never be the same again!
