Santa made our Christmas extra special this year...

Santa made our Christmas extra special this year..

Last week you'll remember I wrote a post informing you that Santa Claus was coming to town, well guess what - he really did! Christmas 2013 in our house was magical, not only for my children but for all the children ( and adults ) we met throughout the day.

My children woke up at about 8am as usual on Christmas morning and ran down the stairs to see if Santa had been and left them some presents. Santa had not only left them lots of lovely gifts this year but he had also left them an extra special surprise, himself!

The kids faces were a picture and the girls loved him. Ryan was a little scared at first as Santa was very big but after a quick cuddle he soon came round. Santa ( who we know as Daddy ) soon got lots of cute cuddles from the kids which I think he loved too.

Santa was amazing, his suit was super soft and bright, the kids just loved squeezing him. He didn't get to stay at our house for long though as we had lots of family to visit. Our first stop was at my parents house, where we took great joy in surprising them all. Our next stop was at our Aunt's house where we were staying for dinner. There was smiles all around as we walked in with Santa,  everyone wanted their photograph taken, both young and old.

My favourite part of the day was on our traditional walk to the pub around the corner. Lots of cars beeped their horns and children waved from their windows. Good old Santa being the jolly fellow that he is waved back happily to all. It was truly a magical day.

Santa had a quick pint with Grampy and enjoyed all the attention from the crowds. Children waved and even the grumpiest of adults had to smile. Santa was the best dressed there! It was a little strange for me to be walking down the street on Christmas Day with Santa but it was wonderful, it was so nice to spread a little Christmas cheer to all who say us pass by.

We all had a wonderful Christmas this year and hope you did too. The wonderful people over at Wayfair really made our Christmas a magical one we will never forget. Their costumes really do come to life, they're amazing quality and certainly made with love. There's lots of other costumes to choose from too, not just Santa's but animals and lots of other fun ones. Be sure to check out the Wayfair Dress Up America section to see them all.

This Christmas Santa Claus really did come to town, My town!

Disclosure: Wayfair sent us our Santa costume as a gift for the purpose of this review but all the opinions expressed are 100% honest and my own.

Santa Claus Is Coming To Town .. He REALLY Is!

Santa Claus Is Coming To Town

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve so there's not long to go now until the big day arrives. This Christmas my kids are going to get a BIG surprise as Daddy is going to become Santa Claus for the day, I'm very excited! Thanks to the lovely people at Wayfair we have got an amazing Santa Claus costume which is sure to know the kids socks off.

The Dress Up America Santa Mascot Adult Costume is a full bodied jumpsuit with attached mitts, head and feet. It costs £79.23 with free delivery which might sound like a lot but it's an amazing suit. It's not a thin, flimsy costume at all. It's a well made, well presented bull body costume and I can't wait to see Daddy in it on Christmas Day.

I think lots of people are going to get enjoyment out of this suit this Christmas as Daddy is planning on wearing it for the whole of Christmas Day, yes the WHOLE day. That means driving around on our family visits, visiting my parents and giving them a good laugh probably. Shocking Christmas drinkers in the local pub as he pops in for a quick pint before dinner, that could be very interesting and then for Christmas Dinner with the family which is sure to bring smiles. The best part about this whole plan is that nobody knows so it's going to be a complete surprise to everyone and I just can't wait to see how everyone reacts.

Be sure to watch out for the follow up post to see what happens...

Happy 11th Birthday Chloe

Happy 11th Birthday Chloe

Who'd have thought it, a whole 11 years has passed since my first child was born. Chloe, my eldest daughter has grown into a truly beautiful young woman and I really couldn't be any prouder of her. Having a birthday two days before Christmas is never easy but she never moans. I try my best every year to make the day all about her, Christmas can get put on hold for just one day! We got to enjoy a nice family day yesterday to kick of the Birthday Eve celebrations, we went to the cinema to watch the new Disney movie Frozen which she loved and then headed on out for dinner at a local restaurant which is always a welcomed treat.

Today we spent the day at my Mum's house enjoying a small but lovely family party. Last minutes preparations meant a quick trip to Iceland as us Mums do. Party packs bought and I was ready to go, even If I did get stuck in the mad Christmas shopping rush.

We had pizzas and burgers and even fish finger sandwiches. Chicken kebabs, mini sausages and cheese - there had to be cheese. We invited the neighbours kids round to join us and enjoyed a lovely afternoon of dancing, games and food. Chloe had a fantastic time, it was nice to see her enjoying herself. She wasn't sure what cake she wanted this year so she had asked for a surprise which is literally what she got. I kind of played it safe though, going for a One Direction one. Every 11 year old girl has got to love them, right?

Chloe might not be much smaller than me but she will always be my little girl no matter how old she gets and I hope she knows that. Watching her blow out her candles, and seeing that smile on her face was just priceless.

I hope the wish she made brings her every happiness for the year ahead.

Happy Birthday Chloe, Love always Mummy xx

The Hotel Chocolat Christmas Goody Bag #Review

The Hotel Chocolat Christmas Goody Bag

Oh My Goodness! Check out Hotel Chocolat's most exciting chocolate goodies which have been specially selected for Christmas, bagged and bowed all ready for you to unwrap.

The Christmas Goody Bag contains a 50% Cookie & Caramel Wreath, 6 Christmas Mess Chocolates, 6 Treacle Tart Chocolates and a trio of milk chocolate Santas.

Mummy Of 3 Diaries has been sent one of these fantastic goody bags to try out and review, here's how we got on .... are you ready?

First off the Christmas Goody Bag comes beautifully presented in a gorgeous gift bag topped of with a bow. It costs £18 and contains 4 different Hotel Chocolat products. Each of which comes individually wrapped so they can be enjoyed separately which is a great idea as we've all had a big box of chocs at some point which was too big to enjoy in one go which has resulted in waste. Well with this goody bag there won't be any waste, just great taste.

The trio of milk chocolate Santas come in their very own grotto decorated box which is rather sweet. It contains three irresistibly cute milk chocolate Santas which are perfect for pockets, stockings and Christmas treats. These were a huge hit with the kids, it was great that there was three in a pack as that meant there was just enough for one each.

The small Festive Wreath contains 50% cocoa milk chocolate with cookies and hand cut florentines that beautifully balance the sweetness of the chocolate. This is definitely one for the grown ups though as it was a bit too rich for the kids who didn't like this one but that's ok as it simply means for me, I'm not complaining.

Now this one is my favourite! These cute little Christmas Mess parcels are just heavenly, I could have eaten all of these by myself but didn't because the kids loved them too. These fabulously fruity cranberry ganache and strawberry mousse with meringue sprinkles are amazing! You get 6 of these in the goody bag which is just enough to share out. I am so going to buy myself some more of these real soon, they taste so nice. Honest!

Last but no means least you get 6 Treacle Tart Chocolates, they're simply a delicious marriage of runny caramel crowned with a crunchy shortbread biscuit. These came a very close second in my list of favourite chocolates ever. I loved the crisp chocolate outer shell and the soft sweet caramel middle. The shortbread biscuit on the top was just the icing on the cake, together this is one tasty treat. The kids and I really liked this one, it was very morish.

The Hotel Chocolat Christmas Goody Bag is fantastic, it really is full of delicious goodies just like it's name says. I've already bought one of these for a family member and now that I've tried one, I'm certain they're going to love it just as much as we have. This is not any old goody bag, it's the Hotel Chocolat Christmas Goody Bag and it means business. It looks great, it tastes great and we think it is great. Top marks from us, a well deserved 5/5.

Disclosure: We received our Christmas Goody Bag for free for the purpose of this review but this does not in any way influence my opinions or thoughts.

Christmas at Poundland #Review

Christmas at Poundland

This Christmas Poundland is bursting to the brim with Christmas goodies. There's presents, decorations, stocking fillers, food and even cleaning products for the aftermath!

Yesterday I went to my local High Street store to check out what's on offer and to partake in a special Bloggers Christmas Poundland challenge. We were given a wonderful £20 voucher and challenged to see what we could buy to make our Christmas that little bit easier. I was really surprised with all the goodies they have available in store, there's shelves full of everything you could possible need for Christmas. It took me about 45 minutes to decide on what to buy.

It was a tough job but someone had to do it and boy was I so glad that someone was me. I came out of Poundland, one very happy Mummy with 3 bags full of festive fun.

I bought 5 rolls of gorgeous wrapping paper, 1 snowman design for us adults and 4 for the kids. There was Disney Princesses in both pink and purple for my girls and Disney Cars and Toy Story for my little man. I loved the selection they had, there was paper for everyone, young or old. I bought pretty bows and gift tag stickers which I love as they're a quick and easy way to label all your gifts. I had to get a few gift bags too of course, with all the pretty designs to choose from I just couldn't resist and ended up with three of them.

I bought some Milk Chocolate Candy Canes for the kids and a box of Chocolate Liqueurs for my dad, they're his favourite. I found some super cute headbands for my girls and least but not least I got two packets of batteries, AA and AAA which we're going to need once Santa has been. Overall I had a rather enjoyable and productive shopping trip.

Poundland is already one of my favourite high street stores as it's full of value and choice. If you're looking for some Christmas bargains then why not try your local store and see what you can find. You won't be disappointed, there really is something for everyone.
