Shoe Zone Mummy Post #3 Girl's neon bow denim sandals

Shoe Zones
Girl's neon bow denim sandals

This month my Lily has been treated to a gorgeous new pair of sandals to enjoy. The Walkright girls denim strappy sandal with bows are delightful.

They're super bright and full of personality just like Lily, she adores them. They're so low priced for the high quality you get at just £9.99. Lily's been running round in them for weeks now and they still look like new. They're practical for everyday wear with their flat soles but also suitable for parties or days out with their pretty bows and lovely bright colours.

They get a fab thumbs up and a well deserved 5/5 from both Lily and I.

Doc McStuffins - The Magic Talking Check Up Set #Review

Doc McStuffins
The Magic Talking Check Up Set

Help Doc McStuffins bring her toys to life with this Clinic Playset. It includes everything Doc McStuffins needs to run her clinic, and two little creatures forDisclose: I received our Doc McStuffins tou for free for the purpose of this review but my opinions are still 100% honest and my own.  treat. Place Lambie & Stuffy on the check up table to magically hear them talk. Cute Lambie says "I need a cuddle" in the cutest little voice whilst Stuffy the Dragon says "I'm a big brave dragon" both are very sweet.

This Doc McStuffins Magic Talkin' Check-Up Set is brought to us by Flair, one of the UK’s top ten toy companies. It's aimed at children aged 3 and over to the small parts that come with it.

Dottie 'Doc' McStuffins is a six year old girl who 'fixes' toys, with a little help from her stuffed animal friends, Stuffy, Hallie, Lambie and Chilly. You can play with and help her bring her toys to life with this Clinic Playset. This set included a Doc McStuffins doll, a clinic playset, Lambie and Stuffy, A Glittery bag and 4 cute accessories which fit neatly into the bag.

Changing the characters over is easy, you just sit the one you want to play with onto a heart shaped piece on top of the clinic counter. Each toy has a different phrase which can be then activated by pressing a little button next to them. It's very simple yet very effective, even my 3 year old son can do it. He loves this toy, he's been playing with it when ever the girls put it down. My Lily is aged 6 and enjoys playing with Doc McStuffins and her friends but I must say that Ryan my little man has been besotted with this toy. He's really fascinated by the sounds and loves playing with the little accessories trying to make them better.

It's all very cute to watch and great for his imagination.

Overall we like this Doc McStuffins Magic Talking Check Up set. It's a nice interactive toy that provides hours of fun. Just because it's a doll, it doesn't mean that boys won't enjoy it just as much as the girls will. A fantastic 4/5 from us here at Mummy Of 3 Diaries.

Disclosure: I recieved our Doc McStuffins doll for free for the purpose of this review but all the opinions expressed are 100% honest and my own.

Walkers Mighty Lights #Review

Walkers Mighty Lights

With 30% less fat than standcrispsisps, Mighty Lights are perfect for kids' lunchboxes. They are tasty, ridged crisps that come in three flavours - roast chicken, cheese and onion and lightly salted. All the flavours are suitable for vegetarians, and are available in shops nationwide. They're made from real potatoes with no artificial colours or preservatives and they're a source of fibre. It can be tricky to find great tasting lunch box snacks that keep both kids and mums happy but Walkers think they have cracked it.

Mmm Roast Chicken, crispy ridged crisps smothered in a delicious meaty flavour, they are very moreish. Out of the three available flavours the Roast Chicken is my definite favourite, they pack a mighty flavour punch which is great. Each pack contains 25 grams which is the perfect portion size for kids at lunch or snacking mums like me. Each crisp is really thin and weighs hardly anything meaning you actually get quite a lot in your bag for the 25 grams. When I saw that they had 30% less fat than some other bags of crisps I was a little worried that they would lack in taste but I'm happy to report that they don't and they taste great.

Each crisp is fully coated in flavour and a real treat to eat. My girls loved the Cheese and Onion flavour whilst Daddy enjoyed the Lightly Salted, there really is a flavour for everyone.

Your kids will love the taste and you will love this:

They contain 30% less fat than standard potato crisps on average
They contain no artificial colours or preservatives
They have no MSG
They are a source of fibre
They are suitable for vegetarians
They are made from real potatoes

I would be more than happy to put new Walkers Mighty Lights into my children's lunch boxes. I'm also very happy to eat them myself, they actually taste really good.

Mummy Of 3 Diaries holds both thumbs up firmly in the air for these delicious snacks.
Have you tried them yet?

Disclosure: I recieved compensation for this post but the opinions expressed are 100% honest and entirely my own.

Little Helper "Town Traffic" 3D Play Rug #Review

Little Helper "Town Traffic" 3D Play Rug

These exclusive 3 dimensional play rugs are designed to stimulate and encourage children's play in a creative, entertaining and interactive way with room for friends to join in. The combine design, hygiene and functionality. They are manufactured using a high quality wool-like material deliberately chosen for its hygienic properties. These unique rugs were designed by an architect and mother of two in order to develop and promote independent thinking and traditional process of play through discovery. Banish the TV and video games and simply add your child's favourite farm animals, toys, cars, figures and dolls and enjoy watching them rediscover their creativity and imagination on their new and unique play rug. (Please note the toys are not included). They are designed to ensure that these rugs are the healthiest on the market, are hypo-allergenic, anti-static, non-flammable and stain resistant.

This thick pile and high quality 3 dimensional play rug is ideal for children of all ages to stimulate imaginative and creative play. Simply add your children's favourite farm animals, toys and dolls for hours of role playing fun. They're not just a play rug - they also look fabulous in any bedroom or playroom as a decorative rug. This 100 x 150cm rug from Little Helper costs around £100 so it's not a cheap rug, it's a rough and tough luxury rug that children will adore.

This is our Little Helper "Town Traffic" 3D Play Rug, isn't it gorgeous? From the moment it arrived we were all smitten. It's the most amazing rug I have ever owned and best of all my children love it. I have a small space behind my settee under our bay window where my children play. It's not a huge space but it's their space to do with as they please and their new Town Traffic rug now has pride and place right in the middle. They love the roads and the car parks, the football pitch and the parks. It really brings out the best in their imaginative play by providing some of the things they need right in front of them. My little man and youngest daughter have been enjoying hours of fun on it already pushing around their cars, walking their figures around and even building a whole new world on it. With these kind of rugs the possibilities of what they can do are endless. Every day a new adventure is born and a new story played out, it's a real joy to watch. I've taken a few photos of them whilst they were playing from my side of the settee. I like taking sneaky shots as they show the true joy of a product, the natural play and interaction of the children.

Our Town Traffic rug is sadly still missing one thing, the traffic. I hadn't realised that we don't actually own many toy cars, it's awful I know but don't worry as I have promised them we will get some real soon. For now they have been improvising with trains and helicopters, not quite the same as cars but still just as much fun. I have to say that I am really impressed with this rug, it's really thick and has good deep grooves which make the 3D parts really stand out. It has so many different sections on it and it's big enough for more than one child to play at one time. Little Helper have made a fabulous rug which is not only great looking but it's built to last and to be played with and enjoyed which is what every mummy wants when they buy a product like this.

Mummy Of 3 Diaries gives the Little Helper Town Traffic 3D rug a well deserved 5/5. We cannot possible fault it, I did think the price was a little high at first but after seeing the high quality and gorgeous finish I would be more than happy to pay it knowing that it will last.

Hasbro Toys - FurReal Pets and My Little Pony #Review

Hasbro Toys

FurReal Pets and My Little Pony

Hasbro Toys has so many wonderful toys, their website is jam packed full of top toy brands. Today I am going to be focusing on just two of their toy ranges; FurReal pets and My Little Pony, both of which my girls already adore. We were lucky enough to be sent an exciting box of toys last week for us to try and test for the purpose of this review.

Meet Sweet Blossom, one of the FurReal Friends Snuggimals Walking Pony Pets. You'll have all the fun of a real pony when you play with this adorable, snuggly Sweet Blossom pony pet. She's a sweet little horse and she really walks like a high-stepping pony when you pet her back. She loves treats and she’ll do tricks for her "carrots." She comes with a pink saddle bag to carry her carrots with her when the two of you go out for an adventure.

Sweet Blossom comes with her pink saddlebag and pretend carrots. She requires 1 “AA” battery but a demo battery does come included. She's designed for children ages 4 and up.

My Lily, aged 6 loves her, Sweet Blossom is cute and fluffy and really walks when you press a hidden button on her back. Her pink saddle can be placed over her back to sit snuggly as she trots along. she did have a rather tasty bunch of carrots in her saddlebag earlier but when I was looking for them later on, my little man told me "She had eaten them" and who am I to argue. I really like this toy, it's super cute and really soft to stroke. Both my girls are huge horse lovers so this FurReal Friends Snuggimals Walking Ponies Sweet Blossom Pet was accepted gratefully. Lily loves her new friend and gives her a happy 3/5 score.

Next up from the FurReal family we have a Furreal Friends Feed Me Babies Sippy Pup Pet. There’s nothing cuter than a baby animal, and this Sippy Pup pet needs you to cuddle and take care of her! She’s always hungry, and she loves it when you feed her with her bottle. When you press her bottle or your finger to her mouth, she'll kick her feet and bark. You'll children will have so much fun taking care of their sweet little pup, and she’ll always stay puppy-cute!

This Pet comes with a small blue bottle and pet care guide. She requires 2 AA alkaline batteries but demo batteries are already included. She is made for children aged 4 and up.

Furreal Friends and all related characters are trademarks of Hasbro.

This little puppy is a real delight to play with, she's grey in colour wearing a sweet little pink bib. She's cute and cuddly and loves to drink from her bottle, when you press it down onto her mouth she moves her feet in happiness whilst making gentle barking noises. Lily has been playing with her all week and I must say that although she does make her noises quite a lot, the noises that she makes are not loud or annoying like some toys produce which is definitely a plus point.

Lily seems to really like her, she's been playing with her for short periods of time daily and likes to include her in her 'make believe' games. This is definitely my kind of toy, it keeps the kids happy and interacts with them at play times without being too loud to annoy mummy.

We scored our Furreal Friends Feed Me Babies Sippy Pup Pet a playtastic 4/5.

Moving onto My Little Pony now, first up we had a My Little Pony Rainbow Dash Figure. Rainbow Dash always tries to do her best. She comes with a ribbon and trophy for when she competes in races and games. She is aimed at children aged 3 and up.

We also had a My Little Pony Fluttershy figure. Fluttershy pony friend always tries to take care of others. Her gorgeous pink hair and tail make her a fun, beautiful pal. She comes with a teapot and teacups so she’s always ready for a tea party. She wants to be your very best pal, so giddy up for fun and pony friendship. Again she is designed for children aged 3 and up.

I used to play with My Little Ponies when I was little so I was very excited to see them again. These are very similar to the ones that I used to have but now they have cute wings and super bright hair with added glittered streaks. My girls were loved them straight away, so much so that we've had quite a few arguments over who's got to play with them and when. I love their gorgeous hair, it's so easy to brush and doesn't get knotted easily. My girls have had lots of fun playing with them and doing their hair over and over again. There's so much entertainment value in these little figures. I've even found myself sitting there on an evening once the kids have gone to bed playing with their hair. Platting it and brushing it, it's actually quite soothing and it brings back so many happy memories of when I used to be a girl.

My Little Pony will always be a part of my family, they're timeless and the fun just never gets old or boring. They have amazing play value and really are worth every penny. I had forgotten how much I loved these until last week when they came back into our lives and I'm so glad that they did. We scored our My Little Pony figures a fabulous 5/5, we just cannot fault them.

Hasbro Toys has really made our week. We are looking forward to seeing what other toys they produce and what new toys will be coming out in the near future.

You can check out all these toys for yourself over on their website We were given these toys for free but all our opinions are our own and are never affected by this.

Family Holidays Are Where The Best Memories Are Made!

Family holidays are where the best memories are made...

This is me and my beautiful family holidaying in a cosy caravan near to a beach somewhere in Wales in the middle of the a typical British Summer like most normal families do. Every year we go away as a family somewhere together to spend some time relaxing, having fun and enjoying some good old fashion family time. We may not go anywhere fancy but it still costs me a small fortune but I do it because I don't want my children to miss out as family holidays are so important to me. To me, this is the time when those precious memories are made and stored in their heads forever! Why do I say that? Because of all the childhood memories I have, our family holidays ones are always the ones I love to look back on the most.

When I was little my mum and dad didn't have a lot of money but we always had a holiday at the seaside every year without fail. A family friend used to own a small caravan at the Welsh seaside resort of Rhyl. We spend so many summers there playing on the beach, walking in the sun and generally just having so much fun. Some summers we went to holiday parks or seaside towns to stay in a bed and breakfast. Every year without fail, we always had a holiday to look forward too. When I look back on all those holidays there's one that sticks out the most for me. When I was around 11 years old, my mum, dad, sister and I enjoyed a whole week in Blackpool. Being the youngest of the three my sister (15) and brother (19) were getting too old to want to come anymore so this was our final holiday with nearly all of us together.

We stayed in a small Bed and Breakfast on the Blackpool sea front, it wasn't anything special but it was perfect to me. My sister was your typical 'moody' teenager who spent most of the week trying to get away from us whilst my mum and dad did their best to make my days as fun as they could be. We enjoyed ice creams on the promenade and made sandcastles on the beach. We played the teddy machines in the arcades and won loads of cute teddies to take home. We actually won so many that they almost didn't fit in the car when we went home, I remember having my photo taken lying on the bed covered in all the teddies I had won. My smile was huge and I was so happy, writing about it now brings it all back. I'm sure my sister took the picture for me and she was smiling, yes even she cracked a smile. It probably wasn't for very long but there was definitely a smile.

Fish and chips served in newspaper, fun on the bumper cars at the fair. Trips out to the local Sea Life centre and even nightly entertainment at the local family bars. I have so many lovely memories of that holiday but best of all I have so many smiles just thinking about it which is what I want for my children. It's all these happy thoughts in my head that have lasted for so many years that I want my children to enjoy too. I want them too look back and smile remembering the silly things that we've gotten up to and the times that we have shared.

It wasn't until a year ago when I asked my mum how she afforded to take us on all those holidays when we were young that she replied "Every year we would pay for those holidays on a credit card and spend the rest of the year paying it off but when I look back now, I know it was worth the struggle." I had never known how much she had done for me, my brother and sister. She had struggled without us knowing every year just so that we could go on those family holidays and I love her so much for what she did. So now when I look at the price tags attached to these holidays I just take one look at my children and know that it will be worth it. My job as a mother is to give my children the best in this life, like my mother and father did for me. That might not mean fancy holidays abroad but it does mean a week or a few days at least, near the sea and the sand where we can all play together and make some memories of our own.

Holiday memories are such precious memories.
They may only take seconds to create but they will last for a lifetime!

Golden Bear's New range of Night Garden toys

Golden Bear's New range of Night Garden toys

Golden Bear are bringing out a new range of Night Garden toys, including a new Lullaby Igglepiggle and a Large Talking Upsy Daisy.

As a key toy in Golden Bear’s In The Night Garden collection, Lullaby Igglepiggle is one of a growing range of interactive toys for children as young as 10 months old. A simple press of the sensor in his hand activates a variety of musical tunes, whilst another button also makes his rosy cheeks glow in changing colours. Lullaby Igglepiggle can sway from side to side in time with a comforting lullaby, all the while holding his reassuring soft red blanket. Made from a beautifully soft plush pale blue fabric, he’s suitable for boys and girls aged 10 months and over. This toy is 30 cm tall when in the sitting position.

Little ones will just love to cuddle the In the Night Garden Large Talking Upsy Daisy Soft Toy. Upsy Daisy plays phrases and sounds from the hit CBeebies show and her soft textured fabrics make her super huggable. Measuring 30cm tall, Upsy Daisy is suitable for children from a very young age. She needs 3 x AAA batteries, which are included.

My little man is a huge In The Night Garden fan and watches it every night as part of his bedtime routine, it's a delightful little show. When Ryan heard about the new toys he was so excited, he couldn't wait to see them. We were lucky enough to be sent some to review and this is the first thing he did with them.

The  Large Talking Upsy Daisy is really cute, she's soft and squishy and very huggable. By pressing her hand she says lots of different phrases from the show. Ryan gave her a few cuddles and laughed along with her for a short while before she was whisked away by his older sister Lily who also wanted to play. I guess you're never too old to play with this sort of toy, every child wants to be a part of the Night Garden's magical world. Upsy Daisy fans will love her, she just like she is on the TV screen, her voice sounds exactly the same as she does on the show and she's just as bright and pretty in real life.

Lullaby Igglepiggle is gorgeous! Ryan adores him already, it's like they have become the best of friends over night. This super soft Igglepiggle not only plays soothing lullabies but his little head sways from side to side and best of all his little cheeks glow up in changing coloured lights. Last night we swapped Ryan's old night light toy for this new Lullaby Igglepiggle, I had one very happy little boy who was all cuddled up ready for a good nights sleep.

Golden Bear have done a super job creating their new Night Garden range, their Lullaby Igglepiggle and Large Talking Upsy Daisy have brought lots of joy to my children. They're cute and cuddly and interactive which is all we could ask for. Mummy Of 3 Diaries scored them very highly with a well deserved 4/5. They really are fun, creative, beautifully made toys.

Feeling Hungry? Why not Try HungryHouse #Review

Feeling Hungry?? Why not Try Hungry House.
Feeling hungry but don't feel like cooking? Why not try the takeaway food delivery service with hungryhouse. Hungryhouse is the one of the UK`s leading online platforms for takeaway and food delivery. With over 8,000 restaurants on their platform, ordering food delivery from your local takeaway has never been easier. From Birmingham to Glasgow, London to Manchester, hungryhouse has partnered with the finest takeaway restaurants from all over the country to ensure that with a simple postcode search you can order a delicious takeaway in minutes.

I've been trying out the Hungry House website for myself over the past few days to see what all the fuss is about. I love takeaway food, it's one of my biggest weaknesses. Although I like fast food, I still want high quality food that's hot on arrival and tastes great. Using Hungry House is very simple, you just go to HungryHouse.Co.Uk and enter your postcode into the search bar. Within seconds a list of all your local restaurants and takeaways will appear on the screen. You can sort them into any order you want fron 'recommended' to 'nearest' which is great as it gives you that little bit more choice. I  put my list into a 'recommended' order as I was looking to try something from somewhere I had never tried before, I was feeling a bit adventurous.

On Sunday night Daddy and I fancied a curry so we searched for all our Indian restaurants and found one we liked the look of and ordered. Ordering was easy, I just clicked on what I wanted and added them into my order. My order consisted of a Chicken Tikka Masala for Mummy and a Chicken Korma for Daddy. A portion of chips and a Garlic Naan. This order came to a total of £14.60 plus a 50 pence charge if you wish to use a card or voucher code.

One thing I liked about Hungry House is that you get an email once you place your order and then you get another as soon as the restaurant accepts it. It keeps you up to date on what's happening with your food. We were expecting to wait up to an hour for our food but it came in just over fifteen minutes. The delivery man was friendly and our food was nice and hot. Our meal was delicious, great flavours and lovely colours. I really enjoyed it our meal, it was fab.

On Monday afternoon I was feeling a bit lazy and decided to declare it family pizza night! Again I headed over to HungryHouse.Co.Uk and entered my postcode ready to find a pizza place. This time I sorted my list into a 'nearest' order as we were hungry and figured if it was close then it wouldn't take long to come. I ordered 2 x large pizzas, a portion of potato wedges and a portion of fries. We were given a free bottle of pop for spending over £20 which was an extra added bonus. I couldn't find a pizza that I liked so I chose one that I almost liked and left them a message in the 'notes' box asking for no peppers (I don't like peppers)  I wasn't sure if they would read the notes bit or not but I'm pleased to say that they had and when my pizza arrived it had no peppers on it which was yummy.

I spent a total of £20.87 on this order but I had ordered more than enough food for all 5 of us. The order was delivered in just fifteen minutes and again the delivery driver was nice and friendly. Our food was piping hot and our order was just as we had ordered. The pizza's were yummy and the chips/wedges came in good sized portions. Again we really pleased with the order and the service we had received from HungryHouse.

We were lucky enough to be given some credit to use on HungryHouse so that we could try it out but after doing so I would quite happily use it again using my own money. The site itself is clear and easy to use, the selection of restaurants is quite good and the delivery service can't be faulted. On both occasions our food was hot on arrival and served with a friendly smile. We received great tasting, high quality food and enjoyed every bit of it. We're very happy to give HungryHouse a 4/5 and a huge thumbs up from all of us here at Mummy Of 3 Diaries.

So next time you're feeling hungry and don't want too cook, why not check out HungryHouse.Co.Uk and see what they have in your area.

How to treat a child with suspected broken bones #GuestPost

How to treat a child with suspected broken bones
(A Guest Post)

Fearlessness is an enviable trait and it seems that most children have it in abundance. Constantly on the lookout for the next adventure, exploring the depths of their own backyard or experimenting just how fun the staircase, a cardboard box and a vivid imagination can be, is endearing to say the least. However, no matter how endearing, it doesn't protect them from the unknown dangers they may encounter on their quests.

Despite how plucky your child may be, taking on the world by themselves and avoiding injury may mean they are rather lucky to say the least. So after they've commandeered their very own pirate ship, built a cloud skimming fort and become the world’s bravest climber, how would you help your child when they’ve taken a fall from grace?

Facing a broken bone, even though stressful, is a situation that demands a calm facade. When your child is in pain, they look to adults to gauge the severity of the injury, so if you're panicked then chances are your child is ten times more so. An important thing to remember is to stay calm and with these useful tips it may be a lot easier to do so...

Back and neckIf the injury involves the back or neck, then it is imperative not to move your child unless in greater danger. By moving them, it may worsen the injury as the nerves can be damaged. It’s best to call for medical help (999/112) and wait for them to arrive, ensuring your child stays conscious in the mean time by chatting to them. If moving them would place them in less danger then ensure minimal independent movement of the neck and spine is possible, by moving the child as a whole unit.

Open Break: Remember that mantra of keeping calm; this will be needed when faced (quite literally) with an open break. You'll be in no doubt of a bones broken status here, as part of it will protrude from the skin and, in some cases, break through the skin. In an instance where it has actually broken through the skin, there'll probably be quite a lot of blood involved, try and apply as much pressure as possible here with some clean material or a gauze pad. By no means attempt to clean the wound or push the bone back in place, this could infect the injury. Once again call for medical help and try and keep your child engaged without moving them so they don’t lose consciousness.

Broken LimbIt’s common for a child to break an arm or a leg, if you suspect they have done so leave the limb in the position you find it and apply splints in that position. Ensure your child remains where they are as any movement may cause further injury. Splints can be made by using boards, brooms, a stack of newspapers, cardboard, or anything firm, and can be padded with pillows, shirts, towels, or anything soft. Splints must be long enough to extend beyond the joints above and below the fracture.

In all instances, an important thing to keep in mind is not to move your child unless they are in further direct danger. Ensure they are comfortable, while you call for medical help (999/112) and try and keep them conscious as this will prevent their body from going into shock.

It says to put your Chill Factor cup into your freezer standing upright but our freezer is too small to do this so we had to put it in tilted but don't worry as it still works just the same. We even tried freezing it lying flat too to see if it would matter. You might get the best results if you do stand it up straight but if you're like me and have a small freezer then don't worry as it will still work.

The picture on the left shows how the cup now looks inside after it has been frozen. The picture on the right shows what happens after you've added your juice and squeezed your cup for about a minute. It's so amazing, you really do get a cup full of delicious slushy ided drink.
