He may be growing But our cuddles are never going.. #PowerOfSoft

He may be growing But our cuddles are never going..

It doesn't feel that long ago since my little man was this small. Ryan came into this world by Elective C Section as he was breech weighing in at a tiny but beautiful 6LB 14 Ounces. From the moment I first held him in my arms, I was in love. At every possible opportunity from that moment on I would cuddle him up next to me just so I could take in his 'new baby' smell, he always smelt so good. I can still remember that smell so well.

We would cuddle up on the settee when we were watching TV together. We would cuddle every night before I tucked him into bed. We would cuddle when he fell over and I'd picked him up of the floor to make sure he was ok. Cuddles always made everything better.

Fairy are encouraging Mums and Dads to make the most of those oh-so-soft cuddles with their little ones while they can and I would have to say I 100% completely agree.Time passes so quickly when they're little. It feels like only yesterday when they were tiny newborns where we enjoyed those super soft cuddles for hours on end but pretty soon they were starting to do all those firsts – crawling, walking and even talking! Not that the preschool years are any easier; with sleepless nights, baby sick stained clothes and moments when it seems like they would never EVER stop crying. But a cuddle with your baby somehow made it all worthwhile – it’s the softest they will ever be.

Fairy made a lovely little video about it which you can see below:

The early years really do go by so fast so treasure every moment. Time may go by but it's the memories and the cuddles that will keep them young forever, or so I believe.

My little man is now 4 years old and started Reception last week. He was so excited to be going to school and looked so grown up dressed in his new uniform. It was an emotional time for both of us, there were smiles and tears and lots of cuddles.

No matter how big he gets I know that he'll always still give me a cuddle when I need one. It's those cuddles that will keep us close throughout our lives, whether they're happy cuddles or sad cuddles every one will be just as special as the next.

I love to cuddle all three of my children but my little man is always the happiest to give me one. I love the fact that he's a real Mummies Boy, I wouldn't change him for the world.
