Lets Get Creative With Wooky! #Review

Lets Get Creative With Wooky!

Last week I was introduced to Wooky Entertainment, they are a fresh, young, innovative company that is constantly developing creative brands from its corporate office in Montreal, Canada. Founded in 2007 by experienced toy industry professionals, Wooky Entertainment is committed to developing original, trendy, high quality products at affordable prices. With a global distribution reach in over 30 countries, Wooky Entertainment’s brands combine creativity, trends and marketing. Wooky Entertainment’s line of creative kits are among the leading products for the creative tween and teen brands worldwide.

Wooky aims to be a leading provider of entertainment to the young – and young at heart – for years to come.

Last week we decided to get creative with a selection on Wooky toys, here's how we got on:

First up Chloe had a Style Me Up Fabulous Hands Mini Sketchbook, which let you trace, colour and decorate to reveal the designer in you. This set contains:

• 30 sketch pages
• 3 stencil sheets
• 3 illustrated inspiration sheets
• More than 140 different stickers
• More than 50 colour-in stickers
• 2 illustrated rings & nails inspiration sheets
• Colour instructions

Chloe likes to do her own nails all the time, she's at that age ( now 10 ) where she's enjoying being creative with how she looks. She tried this out for about half an hour quite happily but I do have to admit that she hasn't used it since. I think she just likes doing her own nails more. It's a very cute set that I'm sure lots of girls will love but my Chloe just didn't get it but she's not much of an artist, she's much too old for her age and just prefers to do things.

She gave the Style Me Up Fabulous Hands Mini Sketchbook a 2 out of 5. There's nothing wrong with this toy, it's just not for Chloe.

Next up Lily had a Mixy Sweet Heart Jewellery Making Set which contains 40 piece assortment of collectible beads, 1 bracelet band and an inspiration booklet.

Mixy is a fashion-forward play accessory line developed specifically for young girls aged 4-7 years. With this simple, snap-together system, you can snap, unsnap and snap again for more fun.  Complementary, interchangeable and collectable! Mix, match and collect them all.

It's a sweet little set which is easy to use and allows our younger girls to create their very own unique beautiful bead bracelets. Lily loved this set, she had great fun making her own creations, she really loved the fact that it was something she could do all by herself. A Lot of the older jewelry making sets are simply too hard for her, this set was just perfect!

Lily gave her Mixy Sweet Heart Jewellery Making Set a sweet 4/5.
I think she really enjoyed this one.

Last but not least, Ryan my youngest toy tester had a Block Crayons Farm Colouring Book. Out of the three products we tested, this is our favourite. Ryan had hours of fun with this, it's 48 page illustrated colouring book with 5 assorted block crayons is fantastic. It includes 2 cute farm characters and 1 double tip block crayon.

They are nice and chunky, so perfect for little fingers and really easy to hold and use. Ryan adored these, they're not just crayons to him but his new friends, which is so sweet. He puts them on his thumbs and sings the song to "Fly away Peter, fly away Paul. Come back Peter, come back Paul" It's a very sweet sight for any mummy to see.

Any toy that makes my little boy this happy makes me happy. Ryan gave the Block Crayons Farm Colouring Book a huge thumbs up! I think we have a new Block Crayons fan in our house.

We were sent the three toys that we reviewed for free for the purpose of this review but that in no way influences our opinions on them. Our reviews are 100% honest!

You can check out all of these toys plus lots more over at Wooky

My Top 30 Money Saving Tips #30waystosave1pound @MoneySupermkt

My Top 30 Money Saving Tips

Money Supermarket.Com are celebrating the 30th anniversary of the £1 coin. They're asking the UK's most talented and creative bloggers to give them as many money saving tips as they can. They want a total of 1,000, to be precise! They realise that asking each of us to give 1,000 ways is perhaps demanding a little too much, so they'd like to reach to the magic figure by getting up to 30 ways from each blogger. We think it's a really great idea so here are our 30 top tips on how you can save money.

1. Growing your own vegetables is fun and actually quite easy to do. Not only will growing your own provide you with a fun activity but it will save you lots of money in the long run too.

2. Childrens books can be very expensive so why not join your local library and borrow books from there. Your child will get a wider choice of new books and you will save a small fortune on buying books that your children will probably only ever read once anyway.

3. When going to the supermarket, visit the End Of Date ideals 1st as who knows what bargains you might find. I wanted a birthday Cake a few months back and found a perfect one on the sale rail for less than half price, result!

4. Always search for online discounts or coupons before ordering online. I love ordering Pizza online but hate how much it costs so I search for online codes and often find 50% off ones which save me a pretty penny. I don't ever order Pizza without a saving.

5. Never go food shopping on an empty stomach as you'll end up impulse buying just because you're hungry. Eating first will save you money, believe me. I've been there.

6. Always make the most of shop offers like Buy One Get One Free or 3 For 2's as these are a great way of buying in bulk and saving a few pounds. It's the little savings that add up.

7. Make a shopping list and stick to it so that you don't end up buying things you don't actually want or even need.

8. Lots of stores have point cards which can be a good way to build up savings. Boots has the best one, and my favourite. You get 1p back for every £1 you spend which adds up really quickly when you have nappies and other baby bits to buy.

9. Save money by using free Apps like Chat On on your phone instead of paying  to send Text Messages.

10. Use Facebook Video Chat to talk to your family and friends. Not only is it fun but it's free so it will save you money on phone calls.

11. Sell on Ebay, what you might no longer want or need, someone else might. Selling on older items can allow you to make money to buy newer ones. Simple and easy to do.

12. Always use comparison sites before renewing car insurance or home insurance as there might be better deals to be had which can save you lots of money.

13. If you owe money on Credit Cards, open new ones with 6 special offers like 6 months free interest on all balance transfers. this will allow you to transfer your existing balances over and save on interest repayments for 6 months. Could be very helpful.

14. Save money on sunny days by taking your kids to the park to play instead of paying for indoor activities. Going back to nature can be very rewarding.

15. Use a blanket if you are cold and only put the heating on if the whole house is cold.

16. Hang your washing out to dry on the washing line instead of using the Tumble Dryer.

17. Join a DVD lending store like Blockbusters so you can borrow DVDs and Computer games instead of buying them all new.

18. Computer games can be very expensive so trade in your old ones once the kids have finished with them in shops like Game where you can then put that cash towards new ones.

19. If you know what you want to but, that new dress for example. Search online first and look for  the cheapest place to buy it. That 10 minute search could save you up to half the retail price.

20. Car boot sales can be a great way to clear out your clutter and raise a few pounds. Your junk could be someone elses treasure. We all know money doesn't grow on trees.

21. Empty out all your change, coins smaller than £1 so 50p's 20s, 10s, 5s 2s and 1s into a pot. Not only will it save you counting out change at the till but it will make your purse a lot lighter too. I do this every year towards my Christmas shop, last year I had saved over £100 which paid for my whole shopping trip.

22. Turn off lights and plugs when the appliances are not in use.

23. On family days out take a Picnic or packed lunch, eating out can be very expensive.

24. Make your own Birthday cards, save money and give your cards that personal touch.

25. Shops like Poundland can be a great place to shop, they save me money every week.

26. Forget buying newspapers and magazines, just read them online.

27. Don't waste money on fancy car parks, find a side street  that has no road markings and park there. A short walk is better than a big bill.

28. Before buying anything ask yourself "Do I really need this?" If the answer is no which it often is, then don't buy it. It actually works.

29. Buy Christmas presents early, if you see a great offer buy it there and then and put it away.

30. Make your own kids snacks like simply crackers and cheese instead of buying those pre packed expensive ones.

That's my top 30 tips on how you can save money. This is my entry into the 30 Ways to Save £1 with MoneySupermarket.  You can share your tips and join in too!

Freshen Up Your Kitchen This Spring With Persil

Freshen Up Your Kitchen This Spring With Persil

It’s the perfect time of year to try some delicious spring seasonal recipes, but the idea of all the washing up can seem a little off-putting. That’s why Persil Washing Up Liquid has launched a new fantastic fragrance; Spring Blossom, which will make washing the dishes a little more enjoyable. Hot pink in colour, Spring Blossom is a fresh and clean, fruity floral fragrance. Featuring hints of Freesias, White Rose, Vanilla and dry fruits, it’s the perfect aroma to welcome spring into your kitchen. So whether you're cooking a roast for the family or baking some delicious treats for friends, don’t worry about using every piece of crockery, cutlery or cooking tool you have, as you can enjoy cleaning up the culinary chaos with the new Spring Blossom Persil Washing Up Liquid, which will refresh your washing up bowl and kitchen with a fabulous burst of fragrance each time you use it. Spring Blossom Persil Washing Up Liquid retails at just £1.00 for a 500ml bottle, so keeping your dishes sparkling clean and beautifully fresh is now even better value and more fun than ever before.

I use Persil already as I find it not only good value for money but I enjoy the fragrances too. I've literally just finished my bottle of Christmas Warm Spice which I loved and couldn't wait to try the new Spring Blossom. The very nice people at Persil kindly sent me a sample (a bottle) to try. The first thing I noticed was the cute tear drop shaped bottle it comes in. It's simply labeled and has an easy to use cap, which just clicks open and shut. This washing up liquid has a pale pink colour and a very mild floral smell. It's not very strong at all, it's just a mild sprinkling of spring in the air. Washing up is not one of my favourite jobs but it's probably the one that I do most often. With three small kids, I always have plenty to wash up in my kitchen sink. My motto is, if you have to o something then do it well first time. Persil always cleans my dirty dishes first time and leaves everything sparkling clean. It often smells pretty good too.

With just one little squirt of Persil washing up liquid I get all these lovely bubbles.

Mummy Of 3 Diaries loves Persil, it's great value for money, looks good, smells good and cleans my dishes first time. What more could I want from my washing up liquid?

Everyone Loves Candy Floss! @FindMeAGift

Gourmet Gadgetry Candy Floss Maker

Everyone loves candy floss, well everyone here does at least. A few weeks back we were sent a rather exciting Gourmet Gadgetry Candy Floss Maker from the very kind people over at Find Me A Gift to test out and review. I'm not sure who was more excited, the children or me? Candy floss is normally a special treat for seaside visits or days at the fair. It's not something we have very often as it's not widely available, well not the yummy fresh kind anyway. You can get pre packed tubs in the sweet shops but they're just not the same.

As soon as it arrived we just had to open it and try it out. It's very easy to put together, everything just slides into place. The instruction booklet is pretty simple too, it has both clear pictures and written step by step instructions to follow which is great as I'm easily confused.

Once it's all put together you turn it on and wait 3 minutes until it gets hot and glows like this:

You then turn it off for a few seconds and add just 1 scoop of sugar. You can use any sugar you like, it doesn't matter which you use which is great news too.

It works really quickly, after about a minute you can see the candy floss starting to form around the sides in a web like pattern. It was so much fun to watch, we let Daddy try it out first as he's the bravest.

We accidentally misread the instructions slightly and held the sticks straight down as we spun it around the base which we found didn't work very well. These are the first two attempts shown below which were very small and also very hard. Oops!

We soon learnt from our mistake though and I can promise you the next ones were much bigger and so much better! We realised we had to hold the stick across the top and not down the side as it wasn't sticking very well and getting burnt which wasn't very nice to eat.

Isn't that much better?

Just look at the size of our candy floss, it's almost as big as my Lily. The kids were amazed! All that candy floss came from just one little scoop of sugar. It was so light and fluffy, just like any good candy floss should be. It tasted so good too! We were in candy floss heaven.

The Gourmet Gadgetry Candy Floss Maker costs £34.99 which isn't a bad price for unlimited candy floss really. Not that I would  give my kids that much as I'm not sure the sugar rushes would be as fun to handle but for a special treat, it's a great idea. The only small grumble I had was there was no wooden sticks in the box for that first time use. We had to improvise and use chopsticks which wasn't ideal but allowed us to try it out. I think next time I will have to get us some proper sticks but it would have been that much easier if a few had come in the box.

Overall Mummy Of 3 Diaries gives the Find Me A Gift Gourmet Gadgetry Candy Floss Maker a fun filled 4/5. It's not over priced, it's easy and fun to use and it works really well producing really delicious candy floss for all the family. Thumbs up from us!

The Awesome Justin & Friends Live Show

The Awesome Justin & Friends Live Show.

My little man Ryan (aged 2) loves Justin, so much so that we often sit watching Justin's House on repeat over and over some days. He loves the music and the dancing, he jumps around the room happily and loves joining in all with the fun and games. Last week the lovely people from   Barclaycard gave us the wonderful opportunity to go along to the Justin & Friends Live Show in Birmingham to finally see the infamous Justin in person. Ryan and I were very excited! Our seats were excellent, we were in the first seated block nearest the right hand side of the stage and just 3 rows back. We had a wonderful view of the whole stage.

The arena was full of excitedly happy children, waving lighted wands and big foam hands. It was an amazing sight. All was quiet until the show began, at which point the whole room then erupted with noise, cheers and screams in a good way of course. It was great to see all the CBeebies characters that we've been watching on our TV for years at home. They were all just like we remembered. From start to finish Ryan was mesmerized, he was in total awe of seeing them all right there on the stage. His favourite parts were the scenes from his favourite show Justin's House and he loved it when Mr Tumble came out. He was up on his feet singing and dancing and waving his arms in the air. It really was a wonderful show. I took so many pictures, way too many to show you them all but I've made a collage of our day just to show you some of our highlights from the show. If we could go again, we so would.

If your little ones love Justin and his friends as much as my little one does then this is a show that you don't want to miss. It's a wonderful production filled with lights, bright colours and fantastic music and songs. It's the perfect day out for all the family, a truly spectacular show.

From Ryan and I, Thank you so much  Barclaycard.

My perfect Summer Outfit From Daxon

My perfect Summer Outfit From Daxon

If I had £200 to spend on the Daxon Website to create any one outfit of my choice it would have to be a Summer one for my upcoming trip to Turkey which I'm very excited about. All those lazy summer days relaxing on the beach and those warm summer nights enjoying delicious food with fun filled entertainment, it's going to be wonderful. After looking through all the fabulous choices on their site I've finally spent my budget and found my perfect summer outfit.

First off I need my statement piece: This Ladies Guipure Lace Dress is simple yet stunning and priced at just £49 it's a steal. This beautiful short white dress is going to show off my tan with ease and make me look relaxed yet ladylike whilst sitting by the pool or at the dinner table.

I'd team this with some cute yet comfy PEDICONFORT sandals. They have a sweet little wedge heel just to give my legs that little tilt they need to look longer and slimmer in this dress. I really like these and for £45 they're not badly priced either. They could easily be worn by the pool or out at night, I'm sure they'd look good on my feet in whatever environment.

What every summer outfit needs is a gorgeous sun hat and for that reason I have picked this lovely Créaline Ladies Wide-Brimmed Straw Hat, isn't it beautiful? It's priced at just £25 and worth every penny I think. I suffer from SunStroke quite easily on holiday so a sun hat is a must for me. Why blend in when you can stand out and look so good with ease? I always get a little braver when I'm on holiday and like to wear things I wouldn't normally wear at home.

With just £119 spent out of my £200 budget , there was just one last thing I needed to complete my new summer look, a gorgeous swimsuit for dipping in the pool or the sea. Even though I'm a size 10 I still feel a little paranoid about my "Mummy Tummy" so this Ladies Tummy-Control Swimsuit is perfect for me. It's bright and colourful and just what I'd look for in a swimsuit. It doesn't reveal too much yet still looks cute and nicely fitted. It's priced at £39 which brings my total spend up to a total of £158.

I could use the rest to splash out on accessories like a nice bag or some cute jewelry but I like my beach outfits simple as I don't want to be carrying too much around with me. I'm so pleased with my choices, now I just wish I really owned them.

You can check out the Daxon Website and see what your perfect outfit would be.

Aveeno - Managing Dry Skin

 Aveeno - Managing Dry Skin

1 in 5 mums of children with eczema spend between 100 and 400 hours a year managing their child’s condition.

ECZEMA IN NUMBERS: 1 in 5 (21%)* mums of children with eczema surveyed spend between 2 and 8 hours per week managing their child’s eczema symptoms – this equates to up to 400 hours per year!

With an extra...

100 hours – mums could take 50 trips to the cinema.
200 hours – mums could watch 400 episodes of their favourite TV series.
400 hours – mums could have 8 weekends away with the family .
400 hours equates to 10 working weeks each year!

In a survey of healthcare professionals 2/3 of dermatology professionals surveyed agreed that their patients preferred AVEENO products. In a study conducted by NetDoctor 74% of people  expressed a preference for AVEENO Cream over their previous dry skin products.
AVEENO products contain naturally active finely-milled oatmeal which is clinically proven to restore the epidermal barrier,3,4 (the top layer of skin). The skin is thus able to retain moisture and keep out potential irritants more effectively. Oats have long been known for their soothing and anti-irritant action, with oat proteins leaving a protective barrier on the skin which prevents water loss and maintains moisture.

AVEENO Cream is clinically proven to soothe and relieve dry, eczema-prone skin from day one – bringing relief to the sufferer and leading to an improvement in skin condition and appearance.
AVEENO products are non-greasy and easily absorbed which contributes to a strong patient preference for the range. MANAGING DRY SKIN WITH THE AVEENO Emollient range Emollients are moisturisers which come in the form of creams, ointments, lotions and gels. They help skin to feel more comfortable and less itchy, keeping the skin moist and flexible to help prevent cracks. Healthcare professionals recommend that patients with dry or eczema-prone skin should follow a daily skincare routine of Complete Emollient Therapy (CET).

This involves using a combination of both moisturising and cleansing products daily to help return moisture to very dry and eczema-prone skin. These products can include emollient creams, lotions and ointments for moisturising and various soap substitute products for bathing and showering. MANAGING DRY SKIN The AVEENO Emollient range is designed to help in the management of very dry skin and is also suitable for people who are prone to eczema. CLEANSING with emollient washes, baths or oils MOISTURISING with emollient creams, lotions or ointments.

I swear by Aveeno, I have three children myself, 1 of which has severe eczema which can be hard to control. Over the years I have learned that not all moisturisers will work on dry skin, but I find Aveeno works really well. It's one of my all time favourite creams ever! My Mum has been using it for years and suggested that I try it, I've never looked back since. It's rich and creamy and really does moisturise your skin without any irritation or unwanted reactions.  I've tried so many different brands but I always come back to Aveeno as it's the best for us, no redness, no more dryness, just naturally soft skin.

Mummy Of 3 Diaries loves using Aveeno.

I was sent some Aveeno samples for the purpose of this review but my reviews are 100% honest and the opinions expressed completely my own. I but Aveeno already so we really are Aveeno users and lovers.

Mamas & Papas Baby Bud Chair

Mamas & Papas - Baby Bud Chair

Baby Bud from Mamas & Papas is the perfect booster seat for bringing your little one to the table. With adjustable, non-slip feet, two chair harnesses for extra security and a removable, easy clean tray, your baby will feel like part of the family - and because it's easy to carry and store, it's ideal for using when you're out and about.

Baby Bud is comfortable and supportive for baby, and suitable from 6 months old, with a removable insert so it will give your little one a boost up to 3 years.

Baby Bud has a 3 Stage seat that grows with baby, it easily fits most chairs securely, so you can boost your little one up to almost any table. It provides added comfort and support for baby with removable soft seat insert and 3 position removable tray and also includes a carry handle for portability and use away from the home. It's a pretty awesome booster seat.

My little man is two and half years old now but he's a little small for his age which makes sitting at the dinner table a little hard. He's too big for a High Chair as he reminds me he's not a baby any more but sitting on our big chairs isn't enough for him to be able to reach.  The Baby Bud chair is the answer to all our problems, I wish I had know about these sooner.

For just £45 you get an amazing chair suitable from 6 months all the way up to 3 years. It's a lot of use for your money and well worth every penny. We were sent our very own Baby Bud Chair for the purpose of this review but I can honestly say that does not influence our review as all the opinions expressed are 100% my own. We've attached the Baby Bud to Ryan's dinner chair securely using the straps that simply wrap around the chair, it's very easy to do and only takes a few seconds. He now has a comfortable big boy chair which is lined with a nice padding, he quite likes the snugness of it to but best of all he can now reach his dinner with ease.

I am really loving the Mamas and Papas Baby Bud chair, it's wonderful and so reasonably priced. My only regret is not getting one of these sooner as it would have come in useful so many times before. I had spent more than this on a Bumbo seat which was nowhere near as good as this one and had a lot let uses. I know which booster seat I will be recommending from now on, Mamas and Papas have created a fantastic big boy chair which we will be using for a while to come. They're not only for big boys though as there is a Raspberry colour for the big girls too.

There's also a fun filled Baby Bud with Activity Tray in  Lime for just £15 more priced at £60.

Mummy Of 3 Diaries can honestly give the Mamas and Papas Baby Bud Chair a well deserved 5/5. The design is great, the price is great and it works which is even better!
