A Letter To Mark The End ...
Yesterday I finished off my coursework, proof read it for the final time and handed it all in. You see it was the last night of my Business Administration Level 1 adult learners course, a very sad night for me as I've enjoyed it so much. Every Tuesday night since last September I've studied with a group of amazing people from all walks of life. Not only have I learn't so much about the tasks and duties I will need for eventually working in the Office environment but more importantly I learnt a lot about me. I learnt that I am capable of doing so much more that I ever dreamed of, as long as I put my mind to it. I'm going to miss my new friends but I will see them again soon when we start the Level 2 next September. Until then I'm sure we'l stay in touch through Emails.
As I was leaving last night, I thanked my Tutor for a wonderful class and shook her hand goodbye. In return she handed me a small white envelope and said "Here's something for you to read" intrigued, I opened it as soon as I got outside. It read:
I am feeling very optimistic about starting this course with you. I am looking forward to learning something new whilst having the pleasure of meeting some new people. At the moment I am a stay at home mum of 3 kids but my youngest is now 15 months old and I'm feeling that It's about time I push my life forward.
I want the best for my kids and I want to set them a good example in life. Me joining your course is the very first step for me on my journey to doing this.
I'm so happy to be here and I promise I will do my best and give it my all.
I had wrote that letter to my Tutor on our very first session. She had asked me to write Why I was there and that is what I had wrote. Attached to my letter was a small slip of paper. It simply said
"You should be proud of yourself!"
I hadn't really thought about it until that point in time but do you know what? I am proud of myself.
I've learnt so much and made some lovely new friends. I've passed my first course and I will do better for my kids. I don't often pat myself on the back as I just do what I have to, to get through the day but yesterday something triggered in my head and I did actually feel proud ( and quite sad ) but also very pleased with myself. To you, it's just a letter BUT to me It's so much more! It's now in my Special Box so that the next time I'm feeling down, I can read it and feel proud again.

John Frieda Full Repair
I was kindly sent some John Frieda Full Repair Full Body Shampoo and a Deep Conditioner to test out for myself. I have used John Frieda products before, just not the Full Repair range which after dying my hair so many times, I'm thinking was well over due. I've been using both now for the past two weeks and here's what I thought.
The Full Repair Full Body Shampoo contains Inca Inchi which is a lightweight micro-oil rich in omega-3, this formula repairs the look and feel of overworked hair and adds body for full, flowing styles. It also de-tangles strands, reducing the risk of breaking and snagging while combing or brushing. Sounds perfect for my hair especially now that the summer has arrived with the sun drying out my hair.
On using this shampoo, I liked the smell and it foamed up really well. I'm not sure if it added body to my hair but I did feel that my hair was looking a lot healthier with it's newly added shine. I only used a small amount which means you will deffinatley get more usage out of you bottle for your money. I know with some shampoo's you have too use loads to get a good result. With John Frieda, less is more and you still get a great result.
The Full Repair Deep Conditioner is an Intense repairing formula, with lightweight Incha Inchi Oil which penetrates deep and repairs the look and feel of over styled hair , reducing the risk of breakage. Damaged hair becomes silky and full. It's safe for colour-treated and chemically-treated hair.
It comes in a rather funky pot which is a little different to what I'm used to but It works really well. With it being in a tub, you can simply scoop out the required amount nice and easily. There's no squeezing tubes or messing, you just take what you need. I added a small amount as I don't like to use too much conditioner as I often find it leaves my hair looking quite greasy. After using this Deep Conditioner I do think my hair looks a lot better, It's shiny (not greasy) and much healthier looking. I will definitely be continuing to use these from now on.
You can check out the John Frieda Full Repair For yourself.

The 2012 Olympic Games are fast approaching and Wenlock the official Olympic plush mascot is ready! He's very bright and looks lovely in his Union Jack patterns. He's also wearing a Gold Medal just like we all hope our Olympics team members will be at the end of the games!

Fancy A Guilt Free Beer From Equator?
Here is a totally new product for discerning fans of premium beer which has been on the shelves since the start of the year. Equator looks like a premium beer but unlike most low alcohol beers, it really is 0.00%. This means it has zero alcohol, zero calories and zero sugar.
It's available in 4 packs with an RSP of £2.99 exclusively in the beer aisle at Tesco.
So What does it taste like? I'm going to hold my hands up here and be totally honest. I couldn't drink it, it wasn't very pleasant at all. I do like a nice beer occasionally but this did not taste like beer at all. I guess being zero calories and zero sugar has left it with almost zero taste.
I asked my dad for a second opinion as he's a huge beer drinker and he agreed unfortunately. The Equator non alcoholic beer may be a great idea but It's something I won't be trying again. I didn't like the taste at all, It was like drinking watery beer tasting bubbles. I'm afraid it really did lack that beer taste I was hoping it would still have.
Sadly Equator Non Alcoholic Beer scored a very low 1/5 from us here at Mummy Of 3 Diaries as the bottles look great but the contents just don't live up to the expectations, the taste really let it down.

A HUGE thumbs up from everyone here at Mummy Of 3 Diaries.

Ryan Makes Me Smile!
When ever I feel stressed or tired or simply fed up, I just look at Ryan and smile instantly. From our very first cuddle when he was born, there's always been a strong bond between us. For such a small boy he has such a huge heart, so full of love and affection.
Whilst my girls are being cheeky and back chatting me ( as usual ) Ryan's off amusing himself with kicking a ball or a splashing in a simple bowl of water. He's such a happy child, You never hear a moan out of him. I'm truly blessed to have him!
Today we've spent the day playing out in the garden, he loves being outside. I can't believe he's going to be two soon, It's gone so fast. I don't want my little boy to grow up just yet. I love having him around right now, he's such a breath of fresh air.
He always makes me smile. You give Ryan a hat and he does this:
You give Ryan a box and he does this:
My life would be dull without Ryan. Whilst my girls are at school It's just Mummy and Ryan at home every day. I'm never sad or blue when Ryan is around, he gives the best cuddles ever! He's the one thing in my life that ALWAYS makes me smile.
What makes you smile??

Introducing the Spiro Bouncer
Have lots of active fun indoors or outdoors with this cool new toy. It's like a see saw, only better! The Spiro Bouncer spins a whole 360 degrees and bounces up and down. It has soft balls to cushion the impact when you touch the floor which is great for small people. We don't want an accidents now do we. It's a great idea, my two youngest love it already. It's arrived just in time for Summer which is perfect as we use ours outside in the Garden as space is limited inside. If you have a bigger home than me though, Spiro Bouncers have soft foam pads on the base to protect floors inside too. Sounds great, don't they?
Here's Ryan having a go on his own when it first arrived. The Spiro Bouncer is aimed at children aged between 2 and 5 years which is great for both Ryan who's 2 and Lily who is now 5. Unfortunately Chloe my eldest ( aged 9 ) is a little too old which she's not very happy about.
At first we did have a few accidents as Lily would bounce quite hard until Ryan fell off a few times but luckily no one was hurt as it's low enough to the floor to prevent any serious injuries. After a few goes though Lily soon learnt she had to be gentle with Ryan as he's still quite little compared to her. They soon got the hang of it.
The Spiro Bouncer is easy to put together, a little fiddly but not hard. The Instructions are clear and easy to follow which is always handy. The base is supposed to be filled with sand but we found that when we bought a bag of ordinary play sand, it wasn't fine enough to funnel into it so we simply filled the base with water instead which does the same job. It took around 15 - 20 minutes to put together as we had to pump up the balls too, but the pump was included so there was no need to worry. Everything you need ( apart from the recommended sand ) was inside the box.
Our Spiro Bouncer now lives in our garden and gets played with nearly every simple day. It's perfect for developing strength, balance and co-ordination skills in young children. My kiddies gave the Spiro Bouncer a huge Thumbs up and a well deserved 5/5.
Spiro Bouncers are available from www.tptoys.com

The Cocoon Collection - Fathers Day
Dad's Beer Festival
If you're looking for something special this Fathers Day then look no further than Cocoon Collection. The gifts are stunning! There's something for every Dad out there. My Dad, LOVES Beers which is why I chose the Dad's Beer Festival gift set. Doesn't it look fantastic. It has all my dads favourite things in it. Beer, Savoury Biscuits, Pickles, Mustard and more Beer!
The best thing about Cocoon Collection is the wrapping and packaging. Their gifts are wrapped to perfection. It arrived beautifully wrapped in a gorgeous gift box with blue ribbon - the gifts were presented in blue shredded tissue paper inside a large white gift box, finished with a hand tied blue organza ribbon and a personalised gift tag. All of which was then wrapped in a Huge white box, sealed with a gorgeous blue bow. I'll show you just how good it looked:
I'm actually away on Fathers Day this year so today we decided to celebrate our Fathers Day a few weeks early. Cocoon Collection made my Dads day! Just look at the suspense on his face as he opened his gift. He was like a big kid at Christmas.
The Dad's Beer Festival Gift box contains a dazzling array of presents for Dad:
A Dad Pint Glass - a lovely keepsake especially for his favourite beer!
A bottle of Old Hooky - a 500ml bottle of premium real ale!
A bottle of Badger’s Legendary Hopping Hare Ale - decidedly drinkable, with a crispness to be savoured.
A bottle of London Pride - a bottle of pride to savour from Fuller's
Savoury Biscuit Selection - the perfect partners for cheese.
A jar of Sweet Onion Relish - by Mrs Bridges. A relish which cries out to partner cheese.
A jar of Dijon Mustard - smooth & strong. Just how a mustard should be.
Purple Ronnie’s Reasons Why You’re a Super Dad - the perfect little book for the perfect super dad!
Cocoon Collections offer Superb gifts, amazing packaging and Top quality products. Their gifts are sure to make anyone lucky enough to receive one smile. The only small downside is the price, the Dad's Beer Festival gift box costs £39.99 which is quite a lot to pay for the 8 items you receive. You cannot fault the products or the gift as a whole so I guess you are paying the higher price for the great service.
I loved the gift and I know my Dad did too but would I pay £39.99 for it? I'm afraid I wouldn't as I don't really have that kind of money to spend on a Fathers Day gift. In my family we normally stick to a limit of around £20 so that we all spend the same. Gifts and presents don't matter so much in our family as it's always the thought that counts!
Cocoon Collection offer gifts of all sizes and all price ranges so please don't be put off ( as I know I'm often a little tight) Why not have a look for yourself and check them out. You can find Cocoon Collection on Twitter where who knows, you might even win a great gift for yourself! If you're not on Twitter then pop on over to Facebook and check them out there!
Your Mission - Should you choose to accept it:
"Here is your very own parcel from Monster, make sure you keep it all to yourself and either give them all a good 'go' at the same time or savour each on it's own, It's your choice! We know you'll review with as much honesty as possible, we are sure you are that kind of dog"
Hmmm ... Sniff Sniff ... I wonder what's inside the box? It smells kinda ... funny! Oooh here comes Master now. I'm sure she'l open it for me. Are you ready??
WOW, check out all them toys! Are they mine? All mine? *wags tail with excitement. I'm one lucky girl, I am. Master can I have a closer look? Can I? Can I? Please!
Oooh we're moving, I wanna see, slow down, I can't see. ( follows master into the garden ) The garden must mean playtime - Yippee, lets go.
Oooh let me at them, let me at them! There's just so many, what do I choose? Let me have a good sniff and I'll tell you. I have it, I have the one I want. Wahoo, Come catch me. ( Running off with my new stuffed friend )
Check out my new buddy - a Happy Pet Migrator Mallard Plush Dog Toy he looks like loads of fun. Fluffy, squeeky and easy to kill. Wahoo he was fun, well for the whole ten minutes of play I got before I did this - Oops I didn't mean to, he just wasn't built for a jaw like mine I guess. Shame really as he was my favourite too. He got a 5/5 for fun but sadly a 1/5 for life as he fluffed it pretty quickly. Ten minutes with me and he was done.
Ok so the Mallard's fluffed it, what's next? Let me see, back to the box. Hmm, second favourite has gotta be the Good Boy Mighty Beast It's pink and girlie like me for a start. It's chewy and firm and has a hole in it too, ooh wonder if master will put some treats in there for me.
I like this toy, well I did until I chewed all the nobly bit off it ( haha ) I couldn't resist, they were just there and I really couldn't stop myself. Oh well, another one half eaten. Least I still have the body of it to come back to later. Not sure how long it will last with me though, It's putting up a good fight so far but I'll get there. He got a 3/5 for fun and a 3/5 for life as he's still standing ( for now ) There's a bit more play left in this one still.
Master must love me, I have so many great new toys. Just look at me in the garden enjoying the sun today, It's been the best day of the summer so far!
Okay, so what's left? What haven't I sniffed at yet. Oooh what's that one? Master says it's a KONG Extreme , that looks interesting or at least it will when It's not empty. Kongs are great when they're full but pretty boring when they're empty. Guess I'll come back to this one later when master fills it up. Hope she does it soon, I'm hungry. Is it dinner time yet?? Fun rating - When full - a 5/5 but when empty a sad 1/5. Life rating though 5/5, I don't think I'll be destroying this one any time soon, It's a tough old nut!
Ok where was I? The mallard fluffed it and the Mighty Beast is leggless, the KONG is empty ( boohoo ) which leaves ... the bones! Hmm, now what am I supposed to do with these. I can't eat them, they don't roll or move! They just kinda sit there and do nothing, am I missing the point?
Master's threw them a few times but to be honest I don't wanna fetch them today. Maybe tomorrow. I never say never. There's two of them over there, a large Happy Pet Tough Toy Rubber Bone 8" and a Nylabone Chicken Bone For Powerful Chewers Small. They're both pretty boring to me, I don't like bones unless I can eat them that is. They're made well, Master says they're very tough and will last forever. I say they'll last forever because they're just gonna sit right there! I don't like rubber bones, did I mention that? Hmm ... Is it dinner time yet?? I'm hungry. Fun ratings 1/5 - I don't like bones, they bore me. Life rating, 5/5. They're gonna last for a long time, they are. They're pretty tough looking, I may have a go at them next time I get bored but not today as I'm all played out. *Yawns , I'm so tired, I am.
It's been a long day but It's been fun. Thank You Monster Pet Supplies for my awesome mission. It's been so much fun, I've not played like this in ages. We must do it again some time. But next time, NO bones okay! Woof!
As a mother of two daughters I often think about the day I will need to have that "First Period Chat" with them, which if I'm honest, actually scares me as my mother didn't have one with me. I had to learn as I went along and kinda deal with it on my own as I knew what it was from talks at school but I was always too scared to ask my mother about things like that. I don't want my girls to be like I was, I want them to be able to ask me anything. Periods are a completely normal part of every woman's life and just like Funky Goddess says, we should Welcome them to Womanhood. Funky Goddess is an Irish company but they do deliver to the UK which is good news for us UK parents as I think the First period gift box is a great idea.
The First Period gift box costs 24.49 Euros (Includes Delivery Nationwide) and comes gift wrapped with love. Here's what's inside:
Hot Water Bottle
I personally love this Funky Goddess First Period gift box, It's such a great idea. It has everything in it that your daughter could need to know or use. It's lovely and girlie and very simple to understand. There are no uncomfortable looking diagrams, just clear simple text. My eldest daughter is still only 9 so she's a little young yet to be given her gift but I will do as soon as she gets the talk in school in the next year or so. Until then her Funky Goddess gift set has been hidden away safely for her. I feel much more comfortable now about the chat we need to have, I know with this gorgeous yet practical gift we'll get through it fine.
The owner of Funky Goddess Samantha Kelly has appeared on the Irish Dragons Den and is doing very well over in Ireland. She's hoping to bring the Funky Goddess gift boxes over to UK pharmacies soon. I really do wish her all the best on her exciting journey.
Here at Mummy Of 3 Diaries we give Funky Goddess a well deserved 5/5.
Check out Funky Goddess for yourself and see what you think.
Huggies Pull Ups
Ryan is almost two which means the dreaded "Potty Training" battle is about to begin. Ryan being my only son has got me a little worried, my girls were so easy to potty train. I have my fingers crossed Ryan will pick it up just as well. Ryan's not quite ready to start his official potty training just yet but we thought we'd try and get him used to wearing some big boy pull ups instead of his usual nappies. Here's how we got on:
Huggies Pull Ups come in Disney Princesses for girls and Disney Cars for boys. They're very cute for throw away training pants. Ryan loves Cars so these were a huge hit with him straight away. He loved stepping into his new pants, he lets out a little giggle every time. It's like he thinks they're naughty as he gets out of having to wear a nappy which he's starting to dislike as he often pulls it off *sighs. I thought I might be safer with these but unfortunately he can pull these off too, little monster. I can see I'm going to have quite a challenge on my hands this time around.
The Pull Ups themselves are great. They look good and they don't cost too much to buy. They hold their contents quite well but not as well as a nappy but I guess that's to be expected as they're not nappies. They're training pants, they're made for catching the odd accident and not every wee. Overall Ryan is happy to wear these Pull Ups, they haven't caused any irritation or skin problems. They're easy to step into and even easier to rip back off. They're quick and easy to dispose off too. Ryan and I gave Huggies Pull Ups a fab 4/5.
Huggies Pull Ups also come in "Night Time" pants. Again, they look great and are very easy to use but as Ryan isn't quite ready for full on Potty Training these aren't quite for us yet as they fill quite quickly and then leak if not changed. This wouldn't be a problem for children who do use the potty but for Ryan, it's just a little too soon.
If you're like me and worry about when to start, You can check if you're child is ready for Potty Training over at the Huggies www.pottytraining.co.uk website. There's plenty of tips and hints available too.
So, Are Huggies the perfect training pants?? Yes but only if your little one is ready for it.

The QuickSmart Easy Fold Stroller
The QuickSmart Easy Fold Stroller is said to be unlike any other on Earth. Its revolutionary new folding system is ready to go in seconds. Check out My Review and see how we got on but be prepared for the truth. What you see is what you get with me.
First off, How it comes. Lets see the Box and what's inside:
The box isn't very big which is a great start, It instantly shows how small the Stroller will be. It's not too heavy either as I managed to lift it to bring it inside after my delivery guy dropped it off at my doorstep for me. Very helpful guy (not) Good job it was light otherwise it would have been a shuffle and pull job.
Inside the box, this is the first view you get. Everything is neat and compact and looks great. It's all wrapped safely in a clear plastic covering with the instructions manual placed on the top which makes life a little easier as it means no digging through the box to find it. The manual clearly states that no assembly is required which was awesome news and then meant I could freely just pull out the stroller from the box, knowing lots of bits wasn't going to fly everywhere.
Here's a closer look at how it looks once out of the box. It's small, very neat and compact. You get the Easy Fold Stroller, a rain cover and an easy to carry case/bag. What do you think so far? I must admit at this stage I was pretty excited and also very impressed with what I'd seen so far.
It was easy to put up, I simply flicked unfolded the front and flicked out the lower end. It was very straight forward and I had a brand new stroller up and ready to use straight from the box in minutes. That is impressive!
The seat has a nice pattern on it and a 5 point harness for added safety. You have two slots at different levels so you can adjust the straps depending on the age or size of your child. Ryan is almost 2 years old now so I instantly moved my straps up to the higher level to give him a longer length strap for more room and comfort.
This picture shows the foot rest bar which is quite far out at the front of the stroller. It's just about the right size to rest their little feet on but unfortunately Ryan's little legs aren't long enough just yet. Luckily for him he likes to sit with his feet up anyway so it's not a problem and with most strollers the child's legs often just hang down over the seat. There are 4 small wheels at the front as you can see, they can be set to straight or swivel which is always a nice option to have.
This rear view picture shows you the rear wheels which there is two of and these are much larger than the front ones. The Brakes can also be seen here, they're little red levers that work very well. There's one on each side but worth together so you only have to press your foot down on one of them and they both work. I took the Stroller on the bus last week on a shopping trip to test out how good the brakes are. I activated the brakes and then left Ryan sat in his stroller whilst I took a seat next to him. We managed a whole bus journey with his stroller staying firmly in one place. I didn't have to get up and hold onto him at any point so the brakes work very well. They passed the moving bus test which is always the best way in my opinion to see how well they work.
The QuickSmart Easy Fold Stroller has a basket but it's very small. I managed to hold a nappy and a pack of wipes in it but then it's full. It's not great if you want to carry a lot with you on a day out as this stroller also has a bar handle to push it which means you can't hang bags on your handles either. With no handle bars or shopping basket it does make life a little harder. I found myself using a JD style bag where I could put what I needed in it and then hanged it over the handle bar. It wasn't great but it did the job.
This shot shows the high handle bar which I found made pushing the stroller a bit more comfortable but I have always liked my handles high. You can also the strollers hood which is actually very large. When it's down it covers the whole of the child inside which can be great for blocking the sun and even the rain. There is a lift up flap on the top of the hood which allows you too look through and check on your child which is a nice little added feature although myself and Ryan use it more often to play "Peek A Boo" but we're just silly.
Here's Ryan getting comfortable in his new QuickSmart Easy Fold Stroller. He seems to really like it, I've been giving him the choice of which stroller he'd like to use each day and so far this week, he's chosen the QuickSmart every day. I have to be honest and say that compared to my Nuna PEPP the QuickSmart stroller is a little harder to push and control. I've found myself turning when I've wanted to go straight and then not turning when I've wanted to. The front wheels seem to get stuck sometimes as they are quite small which can be a pain but overall it's a fantastic stroller.
QuickSmart Easy Fold Stroller. It's very stylish and looks great, I've had several compliments on it this week already. Everyone has wanted to know what it was and where I got it from, which is great I guess.
I would score it a 3/5 but I think Ryan would score it a 5/5 as life inside it is much more comfortable than life pushing it I guess.
You can find Where You Can Buy one depending on where you live in the world. For the UK they are available through Mookie Toys and Amazon.
