So, How did yours go this year?

So how was your Christmas?

If you're anything like me, you're sitting at home now with your feet up thinking "Thank god it's all over". Not in a bad way of course but in a nice, content way. Here in the Mummy Of 3 Diaries household we had a good old traditional family Christmas this year. I tried to cut back on the gifts this year and watch what we spent as last year we really over did it and I was determined to learn from last years mistakes. My three still got everything they had asked for (or alternative versions of it) and were more than pleased. We travelled to see all the family as you do and enjoyed a wonderful, happy day. There was no fighting, no shouting, just smiles and games. I must say I'm not a huge fan of Christmas as I always stress and worry so much on the long build up to it but I must say I really have had a delightful one this year and I thank god for it.

Times are hard and the world is full of such sadness and hurt lately, I know I spared a prayer and a few moments reflecting this year for all those who were not with us. Christmas can bring back so many memories of the past but this year I made sure that I held onto those close to me and made the most of our day together. Life is too short to be looking back in sadness, this year I looked forward with optimism and hope. 2013 will be a better year for all of us!

I won't keep you away from what you are doing for too long, I'm sure you're still tucking into those Turkey leftovers or waiting to watch another re run on the TV. What ever you are doing, I hope you are well and enjoying the festivities as much as you can. From all of us here, We wish you a Merry Christmas and an even better New Year!

More by Demi - Oriflame #Review

More by Demi - Oriflame

Embody a world of pure Hollywood magic with More by Demi Eau de Parfum. Bewitching Tahitian ylang-ylang, elegant jasmine sambac and creamy sandalwood entwine in a seductive embrace capturing the incomparable glamour and sophistication of Demi Moore. 50 ml would cost you a reasonable £30.95 from Oriflame. I really like the smell of it, it wasn't too strong but had a really nice scent. I'm often funny with which perfumes I wear but I can happily say that More by Demi is one that I would use and will be from now on. I'd not tried it before but I'm actually glad that I did. It's up there in my top three now. (That's how much I like it)

The bottle itself is exclusive, it's golden metallized bottle and matching cap are inspired by en elegant clutch bags which  appear in Hollywood galas. It tempts you with a taste of the high life, making you feel like a Hollywood diva. The gold bottle is definitely unique and really stands out on my make up shelf, there's no mistaking this bottle. It's very different but very cute too.

My bottle of More by Demi came from Oriflame  , I just thought I'd tell you a little about them:

Oriflame was founded in 1967 by two brothers and their friend, Oriflame is now an international beauty company selling direct in more than 60 countries worldwide. Its wide portfolio of Swedish, natural, innovative beauty products are marketed through a sales force of approximately 3.6 million independent consultants, who together create annual sales exceeding some €1.5 billion. Oriflame offers the leading business opportunity for people who want to start making money from  day one and work towards fulfilling their personal dreams and ambitions through its unique business concept - Make Money Today and Fulfil Your Dreams Tomorrow.

I was given my bottle of More by Demi for the purpose of this review but that does not influence my opinions in any way. All the opinions expressed are 100% my own.

Looking For Christmas Snacks? Check out Wonderful Pistachios and Almonds.

Looking For Christmas Snacks?
Check out Wonderful Pistachios.
Wonderful® Pistachios from California are perfectly seasoned for a delicious flavour with a satisfying crunch. Sun-ripened and 100% naturally opened, we only offer the largest available nuts that are equally roasted - without added oil - thanks to our unique rotary roasting technique.

Wonderful Pistachios not only taste delicious, they are also a great all-natural, healthy snack alternative to fully enjoy while relaxing with friends and family or just by yourself. And above all, they are great fun to crack open!

First off I tried the Wonderful Pistachios Salt & Pepper ones, they're perfectly seasoned & deliciously different to any others that I have tried before. They have a delicate pepper flavour which is just right and not overpowering at all. I really enjoyed these and would buy them again.

Next up I tried the Wonderful Pistachios Sweet Chilli nuts. They are a perfect mix of sweetness, crunch and tangy chilli peppers which creates a slightly spicy and irresistible sweet chilli pistachio flavour. These were my favourite out of the two. I love chilli and I love nuts so these were perfect for me. I'd never seen chilli nuts like these before but I will definitely be buying more of these. I enjoyed them so much that I ate the whole bag in one night, oops.

Mummy Of 3 Diaries gave the Wonderful range a yummy 4/5. I think I've found a new favourite nut. We were sent 1 of each of the 2 bags mentioned above to sample the nuts for the purpose of this review. I was not paid in any way and all the opinions expressed are entirely my own and unbiased in every way.

It's such a fun, energetic game which really is great for all the family. From young to old there was songs to suit all and get everyone moving. My girls had a fantastic time dancing away to some of their favourite pop songs. There was a good selection of songs, both new and old classics. I only got a little go myself as my girls and my dad kind of took over. I had a great time just watching them though. Smiles and laughter filled our home last night. I have to say I didn't realise how much fun a computer game could be. I would definitely recommend Just Dance 4, it's a great laugh and also great exercise. I know I was exhausted after just a few dances. I don't know how my kids did so many songs. They slept well last night though.

Mummy Of 3 Diaries gives Just Dance 4 a well deserved 5/5. Great Family Fun for all!

I was sent a promotional copy of the game for the purpose of the review. I was not paid, therefore the opinions expressed are 100% honest and all my own.
I would like to introduce you to Liquid Pixels.

Check out this cool new video! It's pretty epic!

It's a short film documenting a piece of interactive water art, controlled solely using the Galaxy Note II and its S Pen technology. The concept was created by Daniel Kupfer, and took 10 days to create and used over 3,000 connections, which were all fitted individually.

What Do You Think? I think I want a Galaxy Note 2 :)

Is Drayton Manor's Christmas really as Magical as it says?

Is Drayton Manor's Christmas really as Magical as it says?

Yesterday, my family and I visited Drayton Manor Theme Park for our second time this year but this wasn't any old visit. This was an extra special, magical Christmas visit!

We arrived around 1pm and were nicely surprised to see an open entrance, there was no queues at all. Although the weather wasn't very nice we were so excited that we didn't really care. The rain wasn't going to ruin our family day out, oh no it wasn't! Our first stop was of course Thomas Land, our favourite place to visit ever. All the rides in Thomas Land were running and again there was hardly an queues at all. There was lots of people around but with so many different things going on I found everyone was nicely spread out making it easier to get on the rides over and over again. I think we rode the Crazy Bertie Bus three times in a row. Whilst in Thomas Land we saw the Fat Controller and his friends who put on a very sweet musical show for us all. There was lots of musical fun, laughter and best of all .. snow! Yes, there was snow (OK It was fake snow) but that didn't matter. It was beautiful.

Here's us on some of the Thomas Land Rides: We really enjoyed all of the rides, there was something for everyone. Flying helicopters, aeroplanes, trains, buses and more! I must admit, I quite enjoyed the rides myself. It was nice to be able to share the kids experiences and join in the fun (Adults are allowed on the kids rides too) It was like being a kid all over again.

Some of the rides outside of Thomas Land were also open, we enjoyed many a ride on the Bumper Cars and the good old family Carousel. The park was very different without the usual hustle and bustle of the crowds but I wasn't complaining as we could just walk straight onto the rides without having to wait at all. After our sixth go on the Bumper Cars I must admit I was ready to see something else. I'm not a huge fan of all that bumping but my son Ryan was loving every minute of it. He just couldn't get enough. Once we'd had our fill of the rides we went off too visit the animals in the Zoo and had a snack in the Cartoon Network Cafe. It was hot chocolate's all round and very yummy they were. One thing I really liked was outside every restaurant or food stall they had put up large marques with free standing heaters to keep everyone nice and warm. It was great to get in from the rain and warm up every now and then.

Later on in the afternoon we got to enjoy a 15 minute Polar Express Experience in the 4D Cinema which was lots of fun. There was a great show filled with real water splashes, bubbles and snow. The kids enjoyed it very much, the story was very short but also very sweet. It was a clip from the film with added extra's too enjoy, I'm a huge fan of the original film so I more than enjoyed watching this. Great fun for all the family!

One of the main reasons for visiting Drayton Manor's Magical Christmas though is to visit the enchanted castle and see the big man himself, yep Santa. We were booked in too see Santa at 5.30 PM after the Believe firework show which was really clever as all the fireworks were extra quiet ones so that the animals in the nearby Zoo wasn't startled or scared.

I had noticed that throughout the day the queue for Santa was very long so I would advise if you can try to get a time for later on in the day like we did. Having a 5.30PM slot was great as we got to go straight in after the fireworks, no waiting at all. We walked along the castle's paths which were nicely decorated with lights, trees and reindeer's until we got to the doors. Once inside we were shown into a gorgeous room where we got to talk to Santa who was so lovely. He talked to the kids for a good ten minutes, not just the usual "What do you want for Christmas?" He was very nice. WE had our picture taken which we could then buy outside. I took one myself so that I could share it with you too which he didn't mind me doing (Bonus) If I'm honest I would have liked to see a little more, maybe some moving characters or something. The line must have been so long for those waiting in it earlier and I find it hard to see how they would have kept their children entertained and happy whilst waiting. Santa himself though was one of the best Santa's we've ever seen though. So jolly and friendly and very well dressed.

So overall we did have a magical day! We enjoyed all the rides and the 4D Polar Express Experience was awesome. The fireworks were very nice and Santa was lovely.

It did rain all day long so we did return home very soggy but also very happy which made it all worth while. Once the darkness had fell, Drayton Manor was lit up with some beautiful lights and lots of lovely trees. We did grab a few photos as we were leaving, the decorations were just too nice to walk on past. If you're thinking of taking your kids to the Drayton Manor Magical Christmas, I would recommend you do but please wrap up warm and be prepared for rain. It's a good job us British don't let our weather spoil our fun. I had a wonderful day and would do it all over again next weekend if I could. I'll leave you with a few of our pics.

Celebrate a more Magical Christmas at @DraytonManor

Celebrate a more Magical Christmas at Drayton Manor

Drayton Manor Theme Park, near Tamworth, Staffordshire is set to open for its Magical Christmas on Friday 16th November, and promises to be more magical than ever before.

This year’s festive theme is the Knight Before Christmas which will see the existing Excalibur ride become the home of Father Christmas, where there will be a fireworks display suitable for young children, over the enchanted castle together with water and light fountains each night.

Adorned with icicles and snow-capped turrets and covered in twinkle lights inside and out, Excalibur is the setting for a mystical tale about St Nicholas who was made a knight and asked to look after a magical dragon egg. At the park, children will be met by playful elves and taken on a journey of the story through the grotto until they arrive at Father Christmas’ lodge.

Good boys and girls will be given a free gift of a story book telling the tale of the Knight Before Christmas by Father Christmas himself, amid a festive atmosphere which promises to add to children’s enjoyment of their special day out. The Knight Before Christmas theme is further bought to life as children leave Father Christmas’ lodge and arrive at a Medieval show are and themed shop, which will see animatronic dragons and knights perform a show, live jesters and festive entertainment, making it a truly magical experience for children and families.

In keeping with the Christmas theme, the iconic Polar Express film, featuring the voice of Tom Hanks as the conductor, will also be showing in the 4D cinema where it will snow as part of the screening – a truly enchanting experience for all the family and something sure to get everyone in the festive spirit.

The food stands will bring festive cheer, selling tasty bratwurst and doughnuts, as well as hot chocolate and gluhwein to keep customers warm. Visitors can also try pie, mash, peas and gravy at Humble Pies for eat in or take away.

As in previous years, Thomas Land™ will be transformed into Drayton’s Magical Christmas, complete with festive music, live shows, spectacular decorations and snow machines where it will snow three times a day.

Thomas Land™ is home to 20 rides and attractions based on the ever-popular Thomas & Friends™ series, including Cranky’s Drop Tower and the Troublesome Trucks Coaster and the new Blue Mountain Engines ride.

In addition, Drayton Manor’s Ben 10: Ultimate Mission roller coaster will be open during the festive season*. Based on the Ben 10 TV series, produced by Cartoon Network, the exciting roller coaster launches riders forwards on their first tour of the 180m track, hitting speeds of 55kph and a g-force of 3, before returning travelling backwards along the same route.
